MN needs a closer watch of FWR

There is a concerning growth of posts with racist undertones cropping up on these boards, all under the guise of being proudly 'anti-woke'.

Apparently diversity is 'woke' and worthy of derision.

This is the thread I'm referring to here.

Mumsnet needs to looks at why that board draws such types of posts, and why posters feel so comfortable openly airing their racism.

So the one making blanket accusations doesn't need evidence. Figures.

Well, I for one welcome the suggestion that FWR should be closely watched.

It's always good to get new people on the board.

Or was it more like a kind of approval monitoring, with the occasional struggle session that OP and others had envisaged? I think we already have that, tbh. Is not harsh enough?

Perhaps FWR posters should be tagged and submit requests for approval before posting?

Is there a list of accepted words and political positions women are to take in general, or will OP and others be satisfied to just decide on a case by case basis which posters are permitted and which are to be silenced and unpersonned?

How anyone can try to say that there are significant racist undertones coming from the posters on FWR, who do not believe that men are ever women, when some of these men and their supporters are so overtly and disgustingly racist is beyond me.

I would hope that some of the posters on this thread who are berating the women of FWR based on the racism of a minority (which is always called out), also say that the racism seen by some TRAs is vile & unacceptable.

Either way it is beyond hypocritical to say that racist TRAs don't speak for them whilst blaming every woman of FWR for the opinions of a vanishing minority of posters who are called out where it is seen.

No groups are hive minds. We all have different backgrounds and opinions but I do not accept the premise of this thread that FWR is homophobic and racist and deserves to be 'closely looked at'. That's just a thinly veiled attempt to shut us up about the issue that the board is set up to discuss.

I have yet to return the insults, abuse and namecalling but sure I'm the unpleasant and rude one. Bizarre to see such clear obfuscation of what is right there to see.

Exactly and that's what I love about FWR, that we are unapologetically female, fierce and diverse. That we disagree, but then discuss and there is no Hive mind (one of the only boards on Mumsnet).

This idea that because we are women we should just shut up and be quiet is nonsense and those trying to use "race" or human trafficking as gotchas are just trying to emotionally manipulate people. There have been threads supporting the Uighur women, Epsteins victims, the Virginia School girl who sexually assaulted in her gender school toilet etc.
