Upsetting ad coming up . Has anyone else had this? It’s very triggering

twice today an ad has come up ‘40 genetic photos’ and an image of what appears to be a baby affected by a trisomy ? This could upset a parent who has suffered a loss due to this.
It really startled me (I’ve been through this) it could upset someone else ?

The issue is, the advertisers who use the google ad slots can hide their keywords/urls from us which makes them really hard to locate.

We would kindly ask that if you see it again, you provide a screenshot and a direct link to the advert. We can use that link to block it instantly.
As it's an ad choices ad, it's unlikely we'd come across it ourselves.

was just a shock scrolling a random thread about a wedding programme 😞

I’ve also seen it appear multiple times and it’s very distressing.

It really shocked me I was not expecting it at all obviously 😞

I've just seen it to and it has distressed me immensely. I'm off MM until this is removed.

I came searching for anyone else mentioning this ad as I’ve just seen it.

Oh, I saw that on Facebook. The 'beautiful' genetic differences? I reported it as inappropriate.

I’ve just seen it now and came on site stuff to post about it. It’s an extremely distressing picture of a foetus/baby with an extreme genetic abnormality, and really shouldn’t be on this site (or anywhere, I’m fucking angry anyone would post that image as clickbait). The advertiser is something like “history all day every day”.

How do we send MN a link? I don’t want to click on it, and I also don’t want to repost a screenshot here.

I saw it on this site, reported it to Google as inappropriate, then saw it twice again. What on earth is such a graphic and distressing image doing in an advertisement? It’s a horrible feeling when it keeps coming back and you can’t get rid of it; I’m not wanting to visit the site in case I see it again.

Same - I keep reporting it as inappropriate and it says 'we will try not to show that ad again' and then there it is again. I'm using chrome on my android phone. Horrible advert.

Yes, I’ve seen this. Without going into details as to why, I found it distressing too.

I am using safari on an iPhone. I hope the ad is not going to start coming up on other sites. Just really disturbing and not okay.

Jesus Christ. I just got it on this thread. As someone who faced a very difficult decision, that is very difficult to see.

It’s just come up for me too on this thread. I saw it in a news app yesterday and sent a screenshot to the paper to ask them why on earth it was appearing.

Just literally saw it again on this thread before it was replaced by another ad. MN please can you block it asap? It’s extremely graphic and extremely disturbing.
