My superpowers are non existent. Sad
Mad I don't think I used that terminology. I can't be arsed to read back but I said that I had been watching the thread and agreed with CherriePIE had said throughout the thread, but I hadn't contributed and now was prepared to to delurk and voice my own opinion.

Fake news! We have another Trump among us.

Rufus...I'm watching...

fruitbats · 25/08/2017 23:19

I have seen from a post above that I said 'I was cheering from the sidelines'. I apologise for not not remembering that but I don't retract it

Buttercunt · 25/08/2017 23:19

I would say the only clear thing about this situation is that nobody has covered themselves in glory.

MadMags · 25/08/2017 23:20

fruit I quoted your posts for you. :)

Because even though I'm a (massive) twat, I'm a helpful one.

Rufustherenegadereindeer1 · 25/08/2017 23:20

Mags I apologise for not remembering the quote, however, I don't remove myself from the sentiment. I was watching a poster and agreeing with all that s/he said and regretting that I didn't step in sooner.

fruitbats · 25/08/2017 23:23

I wish I could type quicker. I started my apology early Blush

MsGameandWatching · 25/08/2017 23:24

I actually have respect for fruitbats hanging round to fight her corner. Not like you damn just sliding in to take snide easy little digs whenever the opportunity arises.

Rufustherenegadereindeer1 · 25/08/2017 23:24

Its all right fruit

I think there may be something wrong with mags eyes...

Rufustherenegadereindeer1 · 25/08/2017 23:25

Pagwatch · 25/08/2017 23:25

Is it too early for 'no, your mum'

I think it's about right but I wouldnt want to go early

Rufustherenegadereindeer1 · 25/08/2017 23:25

Well the bit about fruit anyway

BrainSaysNo · 25/08/2017 23:25

fruit
That's a good thing to stand up what you believe in, its to be respected even if the actual content is disagreed with.

Rufustherenegadereindeer1 · 25/08/2017 23:26

Think yiu shoukd crack on pagwatch

Rufustherenegadereindeer1 · 25/08/2017 23:26

Fuck me would you look at those typos

TheCunkOfPhilomena · 25/08/2017 23:27

Trying to work everything out...

Mumsnet has changed - I know this is something of a perennial statement but as the number of users has grown so has the input of advertisers and all the Mumsnet merchandise that has inevitably diluted the strong sense of community it used to have. You either like this or don't but it is what it is (I'm not a fan but just choose to post in other places that still have that feel instead and don't use the place as much as I used to).

Along with its growth it seems to have made some errors of judgement. This is either down to basic human error or some kind of issue with staff, we're not going to find out. In the past, when there was an error or a problem (such as trolling or goadiness) it was quickly picked up on and dealt with, sometimes by other posters and in an amusing manner (that was always my favourite!). Now the humour has gone or changed, can't quite work that one out.

Anyway, MNHQ seem to have had Stratters on their black list for a while according to some comments by Justine on this thread but not sure why. And then she (Stratters) posts something on another site and receives a ban. Does this mean that Talk Guidelines are going to be altered to warn us that our opinions or comments on anything public on the internet will be taken into account by moderators?

Sure, if you don't like MN then you don't have to post here but I guess the frustration has been building for quite a while about the way the site is changing. Of course you can decide not to use the site but when you've been a member for a long time it does seem really sad that people are being advised to do this rather than having their concerns properly addressed. And as for being banned for posting something on another site altogether; I don't like that one bit. Not sure how you can expect moderators to follow the whole internet.

Seriously? Sad

Deregged or banned?

To do with anti-disablism, I assume.

Pagwatch · 25/08/2017 23:28

I'm too scared now
