Any progress with the "freezing" problem?

I know there's a long thread about longstanding site issues where the freezing has been mentioned, but ironically I can't see it because it's frozen. Is tech any closer to a solution because it's beyond annoying. Thanks.

No. Doesn't look like it.

FuckyNell · 03/03/2017 08:15

I downloaded adblock on my iPhone and it's fixed the problem

WhisperedLoudest · 03/03/2017 08:18

I have ad blocker but doesn't appear to help.

Problem is it is intermittent and so no idea whether it's fixed long term.

Must be having an impact though as the boards feel really quiet.

pitterpatterrain · 03/03/2017 08:21

Thanks FuckyNell for the suggestion have just downloaded

pitterpatterrain · 03/03/2017 08:22

Yes I also find it an intermittent problem and agree it is annoying enough that I leave mumsnet at the time

SoupDragon · 03/03/2017 08:22

Interestingly, mine was absolutely fine this morning with no changes made by me. It was awful yesterday on my iPad but absolutely fine on my phone. It's odd how it is so different for people apparently using the same things.

I have now installed an ad blocker and it's still fine (but with no ads!)

highinthesky · 03/03/2017 08:23

Seems to be running ok atm but it's bloody annoying

GieryFas · 03/03/2017 08:23

Still awful this morning - iPhone, safari, no ad blocker.

StarlingMurderation · 03/03/2017 09:44

It was ok at 6am but terribly slow for me since 8am. I also can't see the main thread as it freezes. Really annoying, it's going to drive me away if it continues.

iPhone, Safari, also as bad on my iPad.

KatherineMumsnet · 03/03/2017 12:47

Sorry all,

Not as yet! We know it's beyond frustrating. Tech are continuing to look into it - please do keep the info coming. Many apologies once again.

Bluegrass · 03/03/2017 12:50

Keeps freezing for me too. Tried on two different iPhones, using the mobile site. Have to close the browser page and reopen.

SoupDragon · 03/03/2017 13:17

Mine is still working fine Confused

bellatrixlestrange124 · 03/03/2017 13:28

It's happening on my iphone. It's fine with all other web pages in safari but after a minute or two the page freezes and I can't scroll, even click minimise, I have to close all of safari and re-open. Makes using it pointless.

Lalsy · 03/03/2017 14:07

MN won't load on either old iphone on safari or mini ipad on safari. Just a white empty screen. I will try ABP in my ipad but my phone hasn't got enough memory for new apps.

gamerchick · 03/03/2017 14:10

I can't get in through the 'front entrance' at all. One of the ads isn't loading properly and freezes the page.

Snap8TheCat · 03/03/2017 14:16

I keep having to open new windows, use my shortcut link and reopen mumsnet where it opens fine until the next time...

iPhone using safari.

KatherineMumsnet · 03/03/2017 15:48

Right folks,

Tech have just spoken with one of our ads suppliers, they spotted a script that was causing a long load on threads when particular ads were shown.

Can anyone now see an improvement in load times?

Snap8TheCat · 03/03/2017 16:03

It's not happened in the last 20 mins or so.

Gillian1980 · 03/03/2017 16:37

Hi,
It's still happening for me. I'm on an iPhone 6s using iOS 10.2.1 I think if that makes any difference.
Thanks

Bluntness100 · 03/03/2017 16:41

Fine for me today but I installed adblocker so not sure if that helps or not.

Pinkheart5915 · 03/03/2017 16:46

Not yet for me

The app works fine but still can't load Mumsnet as a webpage on my iPad

pitterpatterrain · 03/03/2017 19:11

Since ad blocker installed this morning it has been fine

Thereshegoesagain · 03/03/2017 19:16

Still happening.

gamerchick · 03/03/2017 19:28

still happening here, i've given up on the phones.

Palomb · 03/03/2017 19:31

Just happened to me.
