I am still Spartacus

Seems timely. Sadly still required.

I am Oscar, and I remain Spartacus. Really cannot be arsed to C&P or restate my position.... I shouldn't need to have to state the need for language to reflect reality in the first place.....

(Belated shout-out to seek for brilliantly using the Spartacus analogy in the first place!)

I am Spartacus Autisticus.

(Paraphrasing Ian Drury.)

Where is everyone when it comes to signing the petition mentioned above?

venusinscorpio · 09/10/2016 10:59

How deeply goady, Comejoin. What point do you imagine you are making? Yes, isn't it great that women feel scared to express these opinions about things which concern them using their real names?

Comejointhemurder · 09/10/2016 11:12

It's got sod all to do with being goady. It's an opportunity to actually be heard. No-one gives a shit what is said on MN- it's not important.

This petition could be but so far it's got 300 signatures.

venusinscorpio · 09/10/2016 11:28

Then maybe you could try not to "encourage" people to sign in such a sneery judgemental way? it's only got 127 signatures, as you "helpfully" pointed out on another thread. Don't pretend that you fully support it, that's just disingenuous. And you know full well why people won't use their real names. They're afraid of real life consequences. I think that's maybe what should concern you more. Don't you agree?

Comejointhemurder · 09/10/2016 11:35

No I don't. I signed it.

venusinscorpio · 09/10/2016 11:42

Don't you agree that it's worrying that women don't feel able to express their view freely about something which deeply concerns them? And it's not your place to hector them into signing publicly if they are worried about the consequences. Good for you, if you aren't. And it might be helpful if, as I said, you could actually encourage people to sign rather than make snide comments about it.

venusinscorpio · 09/10/2016 11:48

And you're wrong that no one gives a shit what is said on mumsnet. Awareness raising is crucial. As more and more people discuss the issues without censorship, they will actually see the reality of transing children etc rather than the media's propaganda.

I am MrsKSpartacus.

PacificOcean · 09/10/2016 15:05

venus I think you can sign it so your name isn't shown.

venusinscorpio · 09/10/2016 15:56

Thanks Pacific, good to know.
