Livid - porn on my phone! please help

I'm not the most tech savvy person, can anyone help please?

Last night I was posting on Mumsnet and an advert for a sex chat site appeared out of nowhere which had a close up video of a woman using a vibrator on herself that completely filled the screen Angry.

How did I inadvertently do this? It was on the Louise Mensch thread, I followed a link to the tweet and read it, then went back to post my message. I think when I hit post is when the porn appeared but I can't be entirely sure. I couldn't work out how to get it to stop either for a minute, or how to close the page.

I don't want porn on my phone ffs! What can I do?

My anti virus scan has come up clean. Am using the talk talk antivirus which came with my broadband so should be reliable.

Niklepic · 19/07/2016 20:42

Samsung here too. Fake virus alert and the pop ups asking me to download fixes. Happened when opening threads in active and also randomly while browsing.

woodenmouse · 19/07/2016 20:42

I got the spam about viruses too. It was difficult to close.

mogloveseggs · 19/07/2016 20:45

This just happened to me. Merrily reading a thread and off it went to something I really don't want to see Shock

And of course, MN now hyperlinks it for you....sorry. I should have added a space in the url to break it up.

HopeArden · 19/07/2016 20:48

Just looked at my history and I think the dodgy thing is pfi.69vidzbox.com. Don't want to click on it again to check but it might help you.

lornathewizzard · 19/07/2016 20:48

I just got the fake virus pop up thing, was reading a thread, didn't touch anything, and it redirected. Was the watching 50 shades of grey with DD thread if that helps.
Sony Xperia, chrome, mobile site.

glenthebattleostrich · 19/07/2016 20:49

I was clicking on a thread link in aibu and was redirected

I'm on a HTC using chrome

CrazyDuchess · 19/07/2016 20:50

Using chrome on a Samsung provided me with a porn show Angry

FlibbertigibbetArmadillo · 19/07/2016 20:50

Just came to site stuff to post about exactly this issue!
I'm using Chrome on an android phone.
I'm clicking links to talk threads and opening them in a new tab. When I go to the new tab it is porn.

DiamondInTheRuff · 19/07/2016 20:51

And again. This time to the lovely localnaughties.com. Took a screenshot but not posting it here, will pm it if you need me to.

Logging out of MN now I think...

Onedaftmonkey · 19/07/2016 20:53

Fucking hell it's just happened to me. Right after I read this post.

woodenmouse · 19/07/2016 20:57

It just happened to me again Angry

Scuttle22 · 19/07/2016 20:57

Yes me too on Samsung 6 mobile. I had to restart my phone as it froze my phone with porn virus. It said alert you have been watching porn sites! Confused

milpool · 19/07/2016 21:00

I've been redirected before (iPhone, Safari).

I don't think it's happened since I installed an ad blocker though.

LurcioAgain · 19/07/2016 21:05

Likewise! Just read this thread, then - ewww... (Bit boggled as to how anyone could find the images that flashed up in any way erotic - there must be some right desperate sad sacks out there.)

More worrying are the "your phone is infected, click on our dodgy malware now!" pop-ups which refuse to respond to the back button - the only option seems to be to switch the power off at that point.

As the page was loading, it sort of redirected to the spam site I think.

GloGirl · 19/07/2016 21:13

Is this a Joffrey-esque problem?

And again - on a thread in baby names from active, redirected to a porn site. After I had cleared the data from previous redirections.
Sony Xperia, chrome, mobile site
