'Time to clean up the mess': will you join the MNP?

Exciting news: today, Mumsnet announced its intention to launch a new political party.

The MNP aims to represent those who are dismayed by the short-termism and petty tribalism that characterise so much of the UK's political debate. Its focus will be intelligent, long-term political thinking, and policies which prioritise the sustainable well-being of the country, delivering tangible benefits to both this generation of voters, and the next.

We aim to field a small number of candidates in key swing seats in the coming General Election on Thursday May 7, with a full roster of candidates planned for the local elections in 2016.

Find out more about our policies, and how you can help by standing for election or canvassing on behalf of your local candidate.

A key policy will surely be a reduction of taxes on Gin Wine Wine

Tax incentives for those cooking all meals from scratch would be a vote winner too! Cake Cake

Sign me up - assume Fruit Shoots and jarred baby food will be heavily taxed or made illegal?

Look forward to seeing you in No 10

Just remember whilst participating in any live debates, to make use of the following;

'Did you mean that to sound offensive?'

'Fuck off, to the far side of fuck, and when you get there, fuck off some more'.

I think that should cover every question/answer.

Can't wait to see number 10 revamped in the latest Farrow and Ball shades.

I'm also interested in your defence policy

Heckler · 01/04/2015 09:48

Thank you for the offer to become a candidate. Given my recent political interactions I wasn't sure you would consider me.
