Morning all,

And welcome to the new thread!
Grin

As SarahMumsnet said at the end of the last thread, we have Tech on call for fixes this weekend, and various MNHQers will be here to talk and help wherever we can.

We'll be adding to the rolling list of bugs, glitches and dislikes (see below), so please keep the feedback coming. Do remember to list which device you're using, which operating system, and which browser, so we can identify the specific issues.

Right then, who's first?

Testing if iPhone 5s works...

Sorry, that wasn't very clear. I mean that the count of new posts since last reading a watched thread - not total number of posts.

LineRunner · 27/08/2014 18:00

ECCE Giraffe childcare ad scrolling/jumping round and round. Really headache inducing.

Kindle Fire.

LineRunner · 27/08/2014 18:01

Same with Bridal Sale theweddingsale

LineRunner · 27/08/2014 18:03

The 'Mumsnet Kids Tees' ad is nicely static but I am shocked at the missing apostrophe.Shock

CoffeeandCakes · 27/08/2014 20:08

Nexus 5, android 4.4.4, chrome.
I've just tried opening an image on this thread - InculKate's at 17:19, and it took a long while for the image to load. The image then loaded up partially off the screen, and when I tried scrolling down to see the whole image properly, it kept moving down. As the close x is on the bottom right of the image it was slightly frustrating! I used to enlarge the screen to view images on the old mobile site, but as other posters have said, enlarging now just enlarges the adverts.

crispandfruity · 27/08/2014 20:59

Hi, nokia Lumia Windows Phone running 8.1 using latest I.e mobile browser.

Adverts - the flora and snow leopard ones are very flashy/move a lot. Also Sun Goals - am surprised The Sun is an advertising partner.

Image enlargement causes top advert to cover the screen.

As a point of interest, when I go to active or to a topic screen the thread titles are in a totally different font. I can't take a screeny I'm afraid :)

Finally, the bottom advert and alt. username boxes really restrict the reply box size. It makes it difficult to post longer replies.

PinkAndBlueBedtimeBears · 27/08/2014 21:08

Annoying flora gold advert,
Flashes between several images

is it easier for mn for us to describe the ad, screen shot or both? Really not fussed on doing this every time I see one if it can get them stopped!

And Thanks for rowan
Things are getting there and the communication is making it more bare able!

Needasilverlining · 27/08/2014 22:01

I'd say font is still too big, or there's to much white space. Either way, too much scrolling to read even quite short posts.

springbabydays · 27/08/2014 22:43

Can't put my finger on it but it's just not as comfortable to read as it was before.

Really surprised by the attitude that you realise not all browsers etc will be supported but, oh well that's just tough really. When the old site was apparently fine. Makes me as a user feel quite insignificant.

I guess priorities must have changed somewhere along the line.

TeenyfTroon · 27/08/2014 23:01

Font better but still a bit thin.
Glare better but would prefer even less and less white space.
Another plea for bump and reset.
Temper better.

iPhone 3gs
iOS 6 (can't get iOS 7
Safari

TeenyfTroon · 27/08/2014 23:02

And the numbers - pale grey is a great colour for walls. But not numbers I want to read...

sunbathe · 27/08/2014 23:06

Picture enlargement working brilliantly for me now. Flowers

Galaxy S4
Android 4.42
Default browser.

PenelopePitstops · 27/08/2014 23:14

Still not sure the line spacing is fixed.

The line spacing on the quote section is good even though it doesn't reach the edge of the page. The line space in the reply is still MASSIVE!

PenelopePitstops · 27/08/2014 23:16

Forgot to say, Galaxy s5,android latest, chrome

BearFeet · 27/08/2014 23:18

Has bump and reset gone for good on threads I'm watching? Sad

TheCowThatLaughs · 27/08/2014 23:49

HTC one c/chrome
It seems very very slow
Not much reading space on the screen now as it's sandwiched between the ad at the top and the toolbar thing at the bottom
There's a neon green adds ad that flashes
It looks very busy with lots of little buttons which the old mobile site didn't have
Is the font bigger and spacing wider? If not, it certainly looks it
I just don't like it really!

LittleBearPad · 28/08/2014 00:16

MNHQ the mobile app is really getting much better due me but please bin the sky sports advert with the bouncing football. It's really very annoying.

LittleBearPad · 28/08/2014 00:16

Due should have been for

EleanorAbernathy · 28/08/2014 05:02

HTC Desire HD
Default browser

I can now see all the bits people were talking about that I couldn't before (like the little arrow in the circle!) so it's much easier to navigate now.

The only problem is that BLIMMIN BLUE BAR! !

It jumps around a bit when I first open a thread then tends to settle right in the middle of the OP covering a huge chunk of text. I have no idea what some of the threads are about due to this!

GermyJamie · 28/08/2014 06:45

I like the mobile site better than I did before. Still have a couple of issues.
Windows 8.1
Nokia Lumia 1020
Internet Explorer

The title of the post appears in a different font.
My blue bar is still far too pale. this is my biggest issue!
Stickied threads are not as obvious as they could be. Neither are OP posts.

When I click on a thread (screenshot from TIO) then come out of the thread, it loses it's blue tinge (that every other thread has in the background to make it more readable) and just leaves it around the writing..

iPhone 5c
Safari
iOS7

PinkAndBlueBedtimeBears · 28/08/2014 07:17

Whoops- here's the screenshot!
