It's logging me out... again!

Anytime I navigate away from MNet (I know, I do try not to do it, but sometimes I need to look at other sites 'kay? ) I'm logged out and have to log back in again. Even if I have two tabs running, it happens when I switch from one to the other.

I've tried it on a variety of devices and browsers;

• iPhone running latest software update (7.1?) and using Safari & Chrome.
• Kindle Fire using Chrome and Silk
• Laptop running Windows 7 and using Chrome & Firefox. I couldn't bring myself to try IE.

It's not the end of the world, but it is annoying.

Tech did sort it last time, but whatever he/she/they have upgraded has reset it for me (at least!).

Mine goes when I close the cover.

Bet they've got the gin out at the Towers . Testing times.

Posted that too late... closing the cover on iPad must have tiggered the browser to end the session. Least that is my guess.

Oh, looks like it may be fixed just closed chrome and reopened and it stayed logged in to mumsnet.

has Tech fixed it yet?

I just had to log in again on PC once MN deigned to open

Still happening here, not even switching to other sites but flicking across to eg facebook app and it logs me out, well pissed off tbh

Just got logged out for the second time tonight when I refreshed the thread I was reading.

And yes, I did have 'keep me logged in' checked.

thing is, nick, it's been logging out without the browser being closed

& closing the cover on ipad doesn't end sessions on eg FB or BBC

I have been logged out several times tonight. I updated my iPad software earlier but don't know whether it's linked.

Getting a bit fed up now of having to keep logging back in.

I've had to log back in twice tonight. I didn't even leave the site the second time it happened, it came up with I server error when I refreshed the page and then asked for password again.

It also took ages for active convos to come up with the full list of threads, there were just 4 active convos there when I logged back in but that might be nothing to do with the logging in and out problem.

I'm on a laptop on chrome.

Working now... on Chrome,Win7 and Android Mobile.

TheOneWithTheNicestSmile - I think Safari on iPad closes the session when it is not active, such as when opening a different app, closing cover. When it is reopened, it then quickly reopens all the browser tabs and sends the login details if the site requests it. Think that is how it works, or should work when it does work.

On a windows laptop.

Internet connection keeps dropping briefly.

Everytime it happens I get logged out. I've not even closed the browser. Just refreshed.

Never had this before today.

I think Tech may have rebooted something. Mumsnet went offline for a while, least I could not access it.

How do you do all clearing of cookies stuff on an iPad? And will I lose all my other cookies? I can't do that, I have no idea what my passwords are for my Internet shop or zipcar .

On Chrome on my laptop, the "keep me logged in" button is checked, but it keeps logging me out!

I've been logged out today on both my iMac and ipad. It doesn't usually happen.
