It's logging me out... again!

Anytime I navigate away from MNet (I know, I do try not to do it, but sometimes I need to look at other sites 'kay? Wink ) I'm logged out and have to log back in again. Even if I have two tabs running, it happens when I switch from one to the other.

I've tried it on a variety of devices and browsers;

  • iPhone running latest software update (7.1?) and using Safari & Chrome.
  • Kindle Fire using Chrome and Silk
  • Laptop running Windows 7 and using Chrome & Firefox. I couldn't bring myself to try IE.

It's not the end of the world, but it is annoying.

Tech did sort it last time, but whatever he/she/they have upgraded has reset it for me (at least!).

PirateJones · 11/04/2014 20:54

Seems fine now

Primadonnagirl · 11/04/2014 20:55

Mnhq.sorry but the solution shouldn't be that your users have to do xyz..Tech guys need to sort it at your end!!

TheOneWithTheNicestSmile · 11/04/2014 20:55

CbeebiesIsAboutToPop · 11/04/2014 20:57

Logged me out on the iPhone too :( thought it was just me!

SallyannFanackapan · 11/04/2014 20:58

Hmmm.. Unimpressed with this being logged out nonsense. Ipad here, logged out twice or three times tonight so far. Will clear cookies and hope for the best...

Hobnobissupersweet · 11/04/2014 21:00

Happening to me too, on iPad, keep me logged in is checked, access the site via safari browser

BobaFetaCheese · 11/04/2014 21:03

I've been kicked out lots tonight. On both phone (android or whatever it is now) and on laptop (chrome).

Box is always ticked for me.

youarewinning · 11/04/2014 21:03

It's now happening to me. I'm glad I found this thread because I wasn't at all worrying I'd been hacked and someone had logged me out I was very confused. I'm using iPad mini safari.

Iwillorderthefood · 11/04/2014 21:04

Me too box ticked.

NoRunAround · 11/04/2014 21:07

I've been logged out on the iPad this evening!

LightastheBreeze · 11/04/2014 21:08

It had logged me out, Safari on Macbook,

5madthings · 11/04/2014 21:09

Still doing it, I went from reading a thread and posting fine, then I clicked threads I am on and it tells me I am logged out... But it had just let me post!!

figgypuddings · 11/04/2014 21:10

Macbook, Chrome, ticked but logging me out if I go off MN.

tammytwigg · 11/04/2014 21:10

Me too iPad safari ,have to keep resetting the colours and posts per page giving me a headache .

nannynick · 11/04/2014 21:11

Mobile going round in circles, login page appears but then when it redirects back to ThreadsI'mOn or AdvancedSearch, it says need to login.

PC seems fine though.

nannynick · 11/04/2014 21:13

Spoke too soon, PC not fine... if Chrome is closed, then reopened, results in logged out of Mumsnet.

IamInvisible · 11/04/2014 21:13

It's still doing it to me on the iPad and I do have the "keep me logged in" box ticked.

Twit · 11/04/2014 21:14

Me too, on iPad. Also lost m threads I'm on/watching last weekend, thought nothing of it until this.

SauvignonBlanche · 11/04/2014 21:14

nannynick · 11/04/2014 21:16

Tech - Is rootsess meant to expire at browser close?

Kikibee · 11/04/2014 21:16

3rd flipping time now.....

YetAnotherHelenMumsnet · 11/04/2014 21:19

Apols, Primadonnagirl, the techs are working on it at our end, I was just offering a suggestion re cookies. Tech is aware of the problems, folks, thanks for all the intel, much appreciated.
