Why can't I change my nickname?

I go through the motions, change name and enter password to save changes and it just reverts to current name. Very annoying! Any hints?

Very sporadic. Sometimes it works, but mostly it doesn't.

It's so hard to find a new nickname isn't it? I spent ages trying all sorts of different names - none of which I see on Mumsnet and I am a very regular user but they all said 'taken'. Sad.

Mines been squiffy. I have to nc, save it, then open another tab to get it to show up.

It's probably a good thing. I only name change for purposes of evil.

I tried to change to a jokey name for a particular thread but it just goes straight back to this one.

Not working for me either. Wanted to go back to my old name for a thread, but when I click save, it just reverts back to my current name.

Ah! I attempted to NC last week for the first time; nothing happened after I saved so I thought I was doing something wrong!

Have tried Internet explorer on ultrabook, safari on ipad and iphone. Boo!
