HemmingGate: To ban or not to ban, that is the question MNHQ

CarpeVinum · 30/12/2013 17:46

Some of us would like to know if a certain politico will be banned, proper.

No rush.

We know you have a lot on your plate with ... stuff.

(I probably got two quotes mixed up in subject line. Don't panic! It's me not you. Am philistine. Italy is wasted on me. Not keen on art, prefer shopping.)

Oh easyjet I think. Can't face schlepping all the way to Bergamo, which RyanAir has got a bit confused with Milan. Grin

Spero I am working on the basis that if nothing else I'm teaching my kid that giving up before you start is no stance to take. I was honest with him from the on set that it might not end in the result we want, when we want, but it is worth trying anyway. Just cos... it's right.

Everybody else... well, we'll just have to prove them wrong won't we Grin

Any yes, I did read it at first that the jouno was saying "he was pissed when I phoned him", but might be an over enthusiastic interpretstion on my part.

Catherine, oh, thank you, happy new year to you too Smile

Spero, no I don't get that attitude either, but then I think that we don't rant enough about some things and that we owe it to each other to look out for those weaker/less advantaged/more vulnerable than ourselves. And no, I am not some kind of knight, I don't have a mission complex, but I just cannot keep my big gob shut about some things Grin

PacificDogwood · 01/01/2014 22:44

I think TSShasjustCOP Shock[v pleased]

Spero · 01/01/2014 22:46

CarpeVinum · 01/01/2014 22:48

And a happy new year to all of you too.

Wine

....and there'll be a nutria TAIL stole winging it's way to you all as a joint MNHQ chrissy pressie ..... just as soon as the lame Italian postal donkey comes off his nine month long NY holdiay Grin

I know you were all wishing you had that bit of high Italian Fashion to call your own.

PS, if it doesn't fit, just pass it on to Pacific she'd love it!

OP posts:
PacificDogwood · 01/01/2014 22:51

Oh, you shouldn't have, Carpe Grin

No, really, you should NOT have

CarpeVinum · 01/01/2014 22:52

Spero

Such apathy abounds

Don't try it Italian style. You'll explode. Grin

It's been one of the harder things to get used to here. And the main reason why I am the unlikeliest home educator(ish) on the planet.

I saw a great quote on a thread yesterday,

'Careful, your agenda is showing'

I really want to use it!

CarpeVinum · 01/01/2014 23:02

I'm sure there is a meme in that Madame

ohhh Jack of Kent has reved up his twitter !

No! Iam going to bed! facing down an MP in sleep deprivation is one thing, pre schoolers another matter entirely.

Twitter will still be there when I get back from being covered in cake crumbs and having been told "No! Shan't" a million times during PutYourSocksOnGate 3746362.0

As someone who has been against JH etc from the start of this, I want to just say that sometimes there are "personality clashes" that cause things to be made up, spun etc against the parents. I do know of a case and know people who know other cases, where it's happened, but they're not generally the cases that end up in the press!

Sadly if JH and friends wanted to take up cases there are real cases out there that could do with help, they take up the wrong ones and leave people with either the wrong view of SS or looking like idiots themselves.
