Oh it's a slightly long story. We knew there was a problem, but didn't know until just now that we could fix it ourselves without involving an update to the app in the app store iyswim.

This should be done now. The pound should be £ innit.

Is it weird because of the accent Herrena? We'll ask tech to take another look, though obviously they've got quite a bit on after the whole Heartbleed fandango, so not sure how quickly they'll be able to get round to it!

WhoKate this has been going on since you introduced the new smileys... Way back ... Over a year. On the app you can only use the basic keyboard not pound or euro signs or anything other than letters and numbers. Inviously nonody checks the app view in Mumsnet Towers. It was promised it woukd be fixed months ago.

On Apple ipad and even the commas come up as black diamonds.
