I fecking well joined in one. Again.

Stupid stupid stupid.

They suck you in and ruin your day.
I agree with removal. Don't care where. A dank basement with cobwebs and vermin and stuff. and a lock. what with shooting being outlawed

FoofFighter · 27/01/2012 16:03

THC I reported that thread too, was disgusting. Hope you are ok and don't take those comments to heart

TeWihara · 27/01/2012 16:03

Surely accusing someone of lying about being disabled is troll-hunting? 'cos that's definately banned.

Hullygully · 27/01/2012 16:04

I think it's difficult for them, they are trying to stick to their own rules and not be accused of political partisanship (I imagine)

Fo0ffyShmo0ffer · 27/01/2012 16:04

Jesus THC Sad

Hullygully · 27/01/2012 16:04

But not obviously if there is bashing and attacks.

Sevenfold · 27/01/2012 16:05

i have reported my post and asked mn hq ro look at this thread again.
I know that a lot of sn posters are fed up with the DLA bashing.

It has been appalling this week.

People are being reduced to c&p comments across three or four threads to get their POV across - and it's ridiculous.

Pagwatch · 27/01/2012 16:08

I think it is difficult too.
But I can't escape the suspicion that they are hoping it will burn itself out.

I am not advocating deleting/banning etc. I just want them all on one thread so they are easier to ignore and stop overwhelming active convos.

As I said, they did it for the McCann situation which definitely had parallels with what is going on here

FoofFighter · 27/01/2012 16:10

Am I being naive in also hoping that a benefits topic would be a good thing for the future for people to ask questions and get advice on their own situations?

Pagwatch · 27/01/2012 16:10

Yy Mary

Or just one thread in politic

benefit cuts : the discussion

LanceCorporalBoiledEgg · 27/01/2012 16:11

I agree Pagwatch.

Feel like staying away from here till it's sorted TBH

Foof - I think that is a bit naive in all honesty - the appetite for spite is too high ATM, I don't think those who are rabid would be able to resist posting awfulness on every single thread in such a topic.

Sadly.

KatieMiddleton · 27/01/2012 16:14

Yes. I agree with Shirley.

Hullygully · 27/01/2012 16:16

yy One topic, put them all in there.

MNHQ could move the threads into the new topic.

The email I got was on Wednesday night at 18:34. It says:

Hi there,

Thanks for reporting; we're having a look at the various threads now and will have a think.

Best wishes,

Rowan

If they don't get this sorted today things may just implode over the weekend when there are less people around.

FoofFighter · 27/01/2012 16:20

It's a huge shame Sad

There must be lots of Mumsnetters who could do with advice on these matters.

TheHumancatapult · 27/01/2012 16:22

foof

Im fine thank you DId find it funny as they had obivously did a search on my name to know when and where i ahd posted but failed to read the orgianl threads

TheHumancatapult · 27/01/2012 16:23

yep foof especially as people are scared and confused about UC and ~PIP etc

SinicalSanta · 27/01/2012 16:27

lMaybe it's better off this way - they can sate themselves here rather than spilling venom all over RL.
a sort of public service is being performed

JustineMumsnet · 27/01/2012 17:03

Hello,
We can see where you're coming from, we know it's wearing, particularly if you feel you are part of a group that is under attack but as a rule we don't interfere in the boards for situations like this.

Here's why:
We do allow debate here, and that includes contrary, insensitive and sometimes downright unpleasant opinions. Many of the threads about benefits and cuts merely reflect an ideological discourse that is right at the heart of the political debate in this country right now about the size of the state. It would feel odd to us to insist that those on one side of that argument had to stick to one thread when we have always adopted a politically neutral position - we are for all mums not just mums of the left or right.

Madeleine McCann was a bit of a one off (hopefully) for a few reasons - it spawned many more threads than usual, taking up almost half of active conversations at one point, it went on for eons (literally months and months) and it was so intensely personal about one particular family.

I know this is not the answer many of you want to hear but obviously there is the option to hide a thread on active conversations and we will, of course delete any posts that go beyond debate about government spending and into disablist territory. We will also ban anyone who is obviously only here to try to inflame - please do report any instances you see.
