I think it is both Mary.

I think it is sometimes stupidity and sometimes 'i am not fighting to have my voice heard, I need a thread that places my view front and centre'.

It is a special kind of attention seeking to start a thread to show everyone your oh-so-clever-but-not-the-least-bit-original opinion. The really special bit is that having tried to express this opinion on other threads and been ignored/disagreed with/made to look a fool with rational logic they feel that anyone would be interested.

and I've been on three threads now, three!, where we've been having a larf talking about daftness and people come on and start arguing about the frigging benefits.

Then people go "off to a benefit thread you" and they get the bloody hump and ruin everything.

I cant report them its a free forum. But I could send them to a designated thread. People are running amock now thinking we all really want to hear there opinion. Well I don't, I want to talk about wank badgers and etheral Bodenites and Hully behind her back not fecking benefits!
