Yes it's been a long and somewhat painful wait but it's here at last!

Get yourself into the iTunes store, search for Mumsnet and it will appear before your very eyes. It is not a mirage.

Android app following soon! (nb the mobile version of Mumsnet is at already available at m.mumsnet.com)

Hope you like it...

(Any complaints to [email protected] Grin)

It doesn't word on my Ipod touch, says loading and then just closes instantly.

Honeydragon · 08/06/2011 16:06

oooooh

Spagbolagain · 08/06/2011 16:07

Mine doesn't work!!! It only fills half the screen so I can't see anything

Spagbolagain · 08/06/2011 16:08

And if you go into search by accident you can't get out without closing the app. Whyyyyyyyyyy?

Malvapoeding · 08/06/2011 16:17

Spag - on mine you just click on active convos/home/topics etc at the bottom to get out of search.

Spagbolagain · 08/06/2011 16:21

I don't have that, just a big black box which is why half the screen seems to be missing......think it's gone horribly wrong, will trybto download again!

Chipotle · 08/06/2011 16:22

It'll take a while to get used to, but on first appearances it seems like quite a nice, simple app.

Spagbolagain · 08/06/2011 16:23

Nah still doesn't work, this is rubbish

MmeLindor. · 08/06/2011 16:29

Ooooh. Look at this.

And MN Rules out on kindle? Dh might need to iron his own shirts today Grin

Can I change colours? Find the grey on White somewhat hard to read [bifocals needed emoticon]

OTheHugeManatee · 08/06/2011 16:36

Mine says 'verifying connection', then closes down again Sad

What am I doing wrong?

Chipotle · 08/06/2011 16:39

MmeLindt Mumsnet Rules out on Kindle you say... God don't you just love technology!!!!! Grin

Chipotle · 08/06/2011 16:41

MmeLindor apologies!

PersonalClown · 08/06/2011 16:51

I'm typing this on my iPod touch and it's working just fine for me.

Bluesatinsashes · 08/06/2011 16:54

Can you short cut to the end of a long thread? I can't see how, so just keep scrolling down the page pressing 'more' at the bottom.

LaTristesseDurera · 08/06/2011 16:55

Seems nice and easy to use.

It would be nice to be able to rotate the screen though so can see more of a thread title.

I also agree that being able to refresh by pulling the screen down would be very nice.

Good work overall though Smile Ooh yes, these smilies are great to use aren't they Grin

Is there a way to preview before posting?

Can I have the moon on a stick? Wink

MmeLindor. · 08/06/2011 16:57

Bluesatin

Chipotle
No worries, used to be Lindt

RunningDay · 08/06/2011 16:58

Bluesatinsashes for now I think the only way is to press the + at the top and press Flip thread.

RunningDay · 08/06/2011 16:59

HarrietJones · 08/06/2011 17:05

Just trying out the smiley thingSmileGrinSadWinkAngryEnvyBlush

2 things to add would be bookmarking &hide. Otherwise I'm happy Smile

DoubleNegativePanda · 08/06/2011 17:07

I am so excites about this app! Have been waiting with bated breath for it to come out Grin

My only (constructive) criticisms would be that I wish it flipped to landscape as my fat thumbs have difficulty in typing on this shortened keyboard, and more than anything else I want to be able to hide topics. I HATE "In the News". Depresses the shit out of me most days.

Well done MN! Will be enjoying 1.0 and looking forward to 2.0 Wink

Bluesatinsashes · 08/06/2011 17:07

Thanks MmeLindor

OTheHugeManatee · 08/06/2011 17:07

Darren, come back ! My app won't load! Why is it doing this?

Bluesatinsashes · 08/06/2011 17:09

And runningday Smile

Chipotle · 08/06/2011 17:15

Actually whilst we are making suggestions for subsequent improvements may I suggest that having the OP of a threads posts in a different colour is most useful... Like it is on tinternet.

Lisatheonewhoeatsdrytoast · 08/06/2011 17:16
