Yes it's been a long and somewhat painful wait but it's here at last!

Get yourself into the iTunes store, search for Mumsnet and it will appear before your very eyes. It is not a mirage.

Android app following soon! (nb the mobile version of Mumsnet is at already available at m.mumsnet.com)

Thanks for all your feedback, we're extremely relieved pleased that most of it is positive.

We can't answer every question on this thread but hopefully this covers quite a few.

On a general note, this is version 1.0 of the app and we will be collating all the suggestions here into a list that will inform improvements to version 1.1 or 2.0 or whatever the tech team decide to call it. We fully realise that version 1.0 doesn't replicate the full Mumsnet Talk experience quite yet but we'll do our best to get somewhere close to it in the next iteration .

We have no plans to stop the mobile version of the site as we've spent some time over the last few months making improvements to it and now think that it's rather good.

As Justine wrote earlier, the Android app will follow in the next month or so by the end of summer. Blackberry app plans are being considered.

Fine on iPhone, doesn't work at all on iPad, just closes instantly first iphone app I've ever found that won't work at all on ipad

Bbut limited display, does not respond to rotating the iPhone, and no customisation or preview.

Also, had to post this via regular main site - on my iPhone! - as connection appears to be very unstable.
