I could get the green one

BexieID · 15/07/2009 18:23

The other option is get Tom on a board, but would need something to keep rain off him. Do they do a rain umbrella for buggies anywhere?

BexieID · 15/07/2009 18:25

Could get him one of these, but a, he's not a hat person and b, an English flag one may not be the best thing in Scotland, according to DP .

nicolamumof3 · 15/07/2009 18:31

i really really would get tom used to walking bex, i can't see a 3.5yr old in a doubles seat in newborn mode, you won't get hood or raincover on?

i'd get him used to it if you can over next few months. its amazing how quickly they develop, Tate was in double 6m ago, then board now walks a long way no board for weeks and thats all in space of 6m.

maxybrown · 15/07/2009 19:23

Bex how about a really good rain coat for him instead?!

But you can get buggy umbrellas yes, but just something else to fuss about IMO. BTW DH posted your remote today!

BexieID · 15/07/2009 19:42

Tom can walk for miles, and has done/still does, but when he decides he's had enough (or doesn't want to walk) thats it, he just lays on the pavement . He's a right lil minx child .

He has a Regatta rainsuit, but its the wind in his face that will be the problem. Grr! Why does he have to be difficult?

I don't tink i'll be walking him to nursery as I think it'll be a 50 min walk. Will just have to be unenvironmentally friendly and take the car! But it's still a 5 min walk to the car and this street is really windy. Tom nearly took off in the Micralite once as it was so bad .

pebbles79 · 15/07/2009 19:47

Bexie, I have an almost 1 hour round trip to the school everyday and Liam hasn't been in a pram since just before he was 3. I haven't even used the buggyboard for months either. He gets fed up walking sometimes but he just has to, lol! I definitely wouldn't buy anything until you've had the baby and see how he is.

nicolamumof3 · 15/07/2009 19:55

agree with pebbles, Tate has screamed sometimes for a carry etc in the past, but when you are physically unable they soon realise and walk!

he will be protected on buggyboard behind pram anyway. he could go one of two ways either want to be the 'big boy' or regress to wanting to be the baby again. Tate was only 18m when luka was born so v.different. i didn't want a double even then i hate them and alot of days i would make Tate walk as i hated a big cumbersome double!

just won triumph!! right need to sell some bits now!

Anyone want some Brand New boys hush puppies sandals in 7.5? or used startrite ones in a 7?

or a blue retro spot buggysnuggle? or ladies kswiss trainers!! lol someone?? i need about £20 in paypal to pay for pushchair

carrielou2007 · 15/07/2009 20:47

Dd is the opposite, she LOVES walking, will often walk over half way to town (3.9 miles whole walk) but walks so SLOW it drives me potty. I've bought a buggy board but will she do the 'want to walk like a big girl' and we dawdle the 2 miles to paygroup or get on the board to ride with the baby. Love those umbrella hats, they would be perfect in her size but I'm not that mean!!

nicolamumof3 · 15/07/2009 20:48

board would be good carrielou for when you're in a hurry, i now get Tate to hold onto the side of the pushchair, he walks much quicker that way!

nicolamumof3 · 15/07/2009 20:49

i wish some money would magically appear in paypal so i could pay for triumph! really want it hear for w/end so tate has a buggy to sleep in too!!

sweetkitty · 15/07/2009 21:19

hi ladies not really thinking about prams right now, was DD3's birthday today, she loved her Trike though.

Nicola - hope you are not too stressed x

carrielou2007 · 15/07/2009 21:23

I was a bit naughty last week when I got my 80 child benefit and I spent it all (ok lots of it on dd) on the same day. I also booked a 'sun holiday' weekend for dd and I in October (was only 77!!) but I just needed it!!

claret1980 · 15/07/2009 21:34

Good for you Carrie! We al need a hol.
We are off to Legoland & Chester Zoo in 3 weeks.

Not looking for anymore buggies, but I like to see what everyone is getting.

Bexie - I would wait until a bit nearer the time before you get a P&T. I know my ds1 won't be in ours much longer. Def getting rid after Christmas. DS 1 wil be 3 in September.

nicolamumof3 · 15/07/2009 21:37

oh carrielou, i'd love a holiday, good for you!

sweetkitty · 15/07/2009 22:05

On the P&T front, DD2 refused to get in it after the third birthday, she did look big in it at 2 1/2 and her head just got under the hood, 90cms she was then, you will have to measure your DS Bexie.

BexieID · 15/07/2009 22:31

Happy Birthday to SKs DD3.

Tom is deffo over 90cms now. I'm not going to rush out and buy a P&T, lol. Need to get a Kiddyboard.

BexieID · 15/07/2009 23:23

Anyone have a spare Tesco days out voucher? Can't believe I never spent £10 in one go whilst it was on, and I never thought to just take one after the promotion had ended (and when I did spend £10!).

buggylovinmummy · 16/07/2009 07:54

BexieID · 16/07/2009 08:11
