Morning all.

Sorry about DP job Nicola, your dress is amazing!!

I love/hate the zapp, though still pondering on getting just the frame to leave in the car to plonk the car seat on but being tall it gives me back ache...

Anyone have a maxi cosi base for sale? Will get new car seat but second hand base should be ok (do we all think??) I rarely use the car when not at work but dd will be at playgroup so practicalities with a newborn I will prob be using the car more than before.

lecohen · 15/07/2009 07:46

nicolamumof3 · 15/07/2009 09:25

morning all, wedding is Saturday how exciting!!

Volo just arrived decided not keeping as set my heart on a triumph now for some reason or a b/new volo so anyone want a spare buggy £15 del bargain!!

BexieID · 15/07/2009 09:56

carrie - 2nd hand base should be fine. I lent my friend my Graco one but she bought a new car seat.

I need to write a list of things I need to get for Tom and bubbs! Deffo need a new cot mobile, or a piece of it, as Tom broke his. Bed for Tom, toy cul and ask DP about putting the cotbed in our room. Oh, need to sell a double folding guest bed and the Brevi bath/changer thing I bought and never used (although could stick that in the shed and ditch the chest of drawers thats in there). Then we need a new fridge freezer as ours is teeny and a dining set! Hoping to ask for the last 2 for xmas, rather than getting aload of stuff we won't use!

FlyMeToDunoon · 15/07/2009 10:02

I glad you are getting out of the old house Sal.
Gosh I still feel so sluggish. Just wonder if I'm coming down with something. Tired now.

nicolamumof3 · 15/07/2009 11:40

you probably have a virus dunoon so much going about atm.

my stress levels rising sooooo much to do. In laws here all week but they v.much are seeing it as there holiday, minimal intervention with children or wedding so that pees me off too!

lecohen · 15/07/2009 12:12

hi there, I got a volo recently - they are great...wouldn't mind another, what colour and condition? can I see a pic please [email protected]

lecohen · 15/07/2009 12:13

all the best for the big day xxx

nicolamumof3 · 15/07/2009 12:20

pics on thread lecohen now, my batteries have died now so can't take any more atm. its in good condition i'd say, back wheels show more wear couple small holes in basket at back. handles fab, for £15 its great!! i paid £6.23 then £8.04 courier so £14.27 so not making anything on it (losing in fact!)

scattykatty · 15/07/2009 12:54

Hahaha Nicola I can't believe the volo is off already! At least with new ones you have the guarantee and you know it'll be perfect at the start so go for the new Volo I'd say

Feeling pleased that diswasher is on, washing load in, total house hoover done, clean DS, made 2 phone calls I needed to do AND emailed Stokke about how the black safety bar doesn't actually fit my beautiful 2 week old red Tripp Trapp

DH says the footplate is too wide so we'll see what they do about it... I hate it when you spend £100 getting something that doesn't work properly and then they make a fuss about fixing it, it's just sitting in the dining room as I don't want DS to sit on it when the safety bar isn't in correctly incase the whole thing falls apart (DH says very unlikely but I don't want to risk it!)

carrielou2007 · 15/07/2009 13:14

Thanks Bexie, are you 20 weeks now?? Have you got your scan soon??

I sold everything for dd as soon as it was outgrown etc so apart from the bug and the cot (needs new matress) I have to start all over again - grr!!

Nicola I know the volo was a bargain but I really couldn't see you with it, if it's not spotless we all know it's just not what you want even for that price .

My boss just turned up so I told him and he was literally sat there open mouthed (was quite funny). When I said about lugging all my equip he was not sure what to say as when preggers with dd I stopped lugging stuff doing house calls when I was about 5 months but was bases in one place the rest of the week. He can always suspend me on full pay if he can't find something else suitable (wishful thinking!!)

Good lucj with house move Sal.

nicolamumof3 · 15/07/2009 13:41

that sounds like a plan carrielou.

would you think your hood would match my volo? as someone asking about hood on for sale thread?

im after a triumph now i think!

carrielou2007 · 15/07/2009 13:50

I think the volo hood is the same as your volo though can't be sure...will check your for sale thread in a mo...

I wanted a triumph as lightness of a mac, fold, raincover etc and I LOVED the colour (had the bright pink one) but I hated the strap recline as dd being a big and tall girl the strap would loosen with her in it so she was never upright. I used mine three times, was bought new, each time saying I am being silly I must use it. Nope, it was not for me

nicolamumof3 · 15/07/2009 13:55

i know i am thinking that too carrielou about the seat. but if i get a new volo the hoods are white (or v.pale grey) so not v.practical i don't know???

FlyMeToDunoon · 15/07/2009 14:17

Anyone still after an Infinity Heartbreaker ? They may pack for courier.

scattykatty · 15/07/2009 14:21

Well I just took my McLaren cover out of the wash.... and I saw that the light blue underside had mold spots!

I hadn't seem them before as I had the brown side up Will that Dettol M&M spray really work on them? I'm feeling terribly guilty that the Bugaboo gets to sit in the dining room and is kept perfect and my poor XLR gets shoved in the garage and has got mold spots!

I was literally about to order myself the Zapp but won't until I can clean up these mold spots as a bit of self punishment Hopefully I can clean it up by tonight as I think that's about as long as I can resist

lillypie · 15/07/2009 14:34

Nicola I bought carrielou's triumph and I love it.Don't have a problem with the strap recline at all.I didn't like the volo,it was just too basic.

SK dettol mould remover is fab stuff I cleaned up an UD double that looked only fit for the dump.

5inthebed · 15/07/2009 16:15

Bexie, I'll be selling DS3's mobile soon. Its a lovely aquarium one, remote control and lights and stuff. He just isn't interested in it!

DS3 has an ear infection now! So chect infection, ear infection and a cold! What next? Piglet flu? He is just not his usual bubbly self. Had to miss DS2's prize giving today as ds3 was just moany

SO, those who have had them, what is a better pram for two little ones? Side by side or tandem? Is P&T the best option?

OP posts:
BexieID · 15/07/2009 16:40

carrie, i'm 17 weeks on friday! I had a scan at 12 weeks and that was supposed to be my only one. But because I have a high BMI , they are doing another scan at 24 weeks to keep better tabs on babys growth!

5in - would be interested in mobile.

My friend looked at the XT and the recline works and so does the footrest. So just need to get the covers off and wash them, and do something with the sticky handles, lol. Then see if i've wrecked the covers/hood by washing them!

PIL have taken Tom to Balloch park on the shores of Loch Lomond, so won't see him till after dinner. Means me and DP get a peacefull dinner tonight. Jacket potatoes and lamb steaks, yummy!

BexieID · 15/07/2009 16:46

I like the graffit P&Ts here. Am seriously thinking of getting a new one, unless I can get a 2nd hand one with everything I need for no more than £190 inc post. I think if I got that one from Mothercare, i'd just need a cocoon and/or sleeping bag?

5inthebed · 15/07/2009 17:08

Bexie, you could probably get the full package for P&T at kiddiecare, they always do things like that.
