DP has lost job, but its ok he can go back to agency work as he was last year so alls good.

He came home early so i forgot to bid on a pushchair on ebay

maxybrown · 14/07/2009 21:58

lol.....about your bidding on pushchair I mean!

Do you get the feeling we are alone on here?

scattykatty · 14/07/2009 22:04

Well DH is in the army and posted somewhere else for a course he's on so only comes home at the weekend which means I'm lonely and bored and need encouragement to treat myself to a pretty new Zapp

scattykatty · 14/07/2009 22:05

OMG I just realised that entire paragraph had no punctuation.... Bored bored bored!

nicolamumof3 · 14/07/2009 22:07

oooh someones talking to me!!

scatty i was disappointed with my zapp. how old is dc? why a zapp?

5inthebed · 14/07/2009 22:08

Sorry about DH's job Nicola. Hope he gets a new job quickly.

SK, I think a new pram is a must to cheer yourself up!

We're going on holiday next Monday, just to the lake district. Really looking forward to it! Maybe I should buy a little pram just for the occasion . Ooooo, maybe a cheap Zapp! Off to scour Ebay!

DC just turned 18 months, I cried as the HV said he was no longer classed as a baby!

As for Zapp I want to be able to get the bus (as DH has taken the car) to the nearest town (as we're in the middle of nowhere) and take the DS to a huge soft play area. I have the XLR but I find that really hard to get on a bus with and control the DS so I thought the Zapp would be easier to handle.

5inthebed · 14/07/2009 22:12

Pretty and just near me. Do I want it?

OP posts:
5inthebed · 14/07/2009 22:13

Zapp needs two hands to fold SK, you'd be better off with a BJCM as they are so easy to fold.

scattykatty · 14/07/2009 22:14

5in I've had a wee look on the 'bay but really want a iron one and there aren't any

nicolamumof3 · 14/07/2009 22:15

zapp is fiddly to fold tho scatty, i wouldn't have wanted to do it with my ds who was then 18m for the bus (when i had zapp first time around!) i find macs easier to do one handed. zapp deffo a two handed fold.

5in he will do agency work so he's ok...never heard from you hunnie about wedding btw?

FlyMeToDunoon · 14/07/2009 22:16

at DP's job Nicola.

I love the idea of getting a new pushchair to cheer myself up or if I'm going on holiday. Hey millions of new reasons to buy!

Today I took DD1's bed to bits and reassembled in DDs 2 and 3 room. Now have to put up a loft bed in DD1's room.
Off to bed to recover.

scattykatty · 14/07/2009 22:16

do it do it do it!!!!!!!!! Hmmm 2 hand fold is annoying, cannot trust little monster not to run into the road if I let go of his hand for a second!

FlyMeToDunoon · 14/07/2009 22:17

Wasn't someone selling an iron zapp on the ads boards?

scattykatty · 14/07/2009 22:19

Ok how many pushchairs has everyone had and what do they currently own?

I've only ever had the Cameleon and the XLR from new and still have them. I feel Zappy would be a welcome addition to the family and would make me feel better about being trapped in the 'village' that has no people and only 1 shop! Plus I might get to talk to the Parcelforce man which means at least one conversation in the day...pityful right?

nicolamumof3 · 14/07/2009 22:19

oooh i love the cobalt 5in.

norma was selling a storm zapp?

nicolamumof3 · 14/07/2009 22:21

lol scatty where do you live then.

i've calmed right down, you won't believe it my collection consists of just a....maclaren quest which i love. im a total maclaren freak had at least 8 in the last year! i couldn't possibly recall all the pushchairs i've had became v.bad when ds3 born and i couldn't find 'the perfect double' so bought loads of singles which weren't practical with two babies to transport!

scattykatty · 14/07/2009 22:26

I live in a place called Watchfield in Oxon, it's an army place, most of the houses are empty and it is seiously dull

I can't believe you only have 1 buggy! I've already picked my perfect double, the vibe! DH has promised it to me when we have another as having DS nearly killed me (think ambulance and a German doc telling you she's not entirely sure you'll live...) so he thinks I deserve something nice if we have another one

5inthebed · 14/07/2009 22:29

Can't come Nicola . MIL bought us those dino tickets, so didn't want to ask, plus DH's aunty died on Friday, so tricky asking. Been trying to get you on MSN, but haven't been online much as DS3 been poorly, thought he had piglet flu, but he just has nasty chest infection and cutting two top teeth. No sleep in this household! Sleep is for the weak anyway

The cobalt is lovely! Quite tempted, but don't like that buyer much, they're a bit funny with best offers.

I've has 11 (I think) prams since ds3 was born in November last year!

Chicco 4 me
M&P Luna
Mia Moda Campiogne
Quinny Buzz
Icandy Apple
M&P Herbie
Maclaren Techno XT
Baby Jogger City Mini
Bug Gecko
Mutsy 4rider

I'm sure there is one more, but can't remember now lol.

Oh yes, and a Micralite Fastfold

OP posts:
scattykatty · 14/07/2009 22:33

Just since DS3 was born! Does that means there were lots more before??? Everyone I know seems to sell the Buzz too, my cousin had one but sold it within 2 months after her DS was born.

I've had Luna envy before too

5inthebed · 14/07/2009 22:40

I didn' rate the Luna very well. Tipped really easily with a newborn in it. Looks nice with a toddler in though.

Well me thinks you should go for the Zapp, a holiday pushchair will make the holiday better There is just something that draws me to the Zapp, I like the bright colours...

claret1980 · 15/07/2009 06:49

I bought a Zapp for our holiday for our ds1, just cannot be bothered taking the P&T as it is so heavy to lift in and out of the car. I won't be keeping mine after the hol anyway, ds1 will not need a pushchair then ! Will use the P&T until he goes to nursery in January for his free sessions.

NaccetyMac · 15/07/2009 07:08

I have a Zapp that I use for school runs (as in, from my work to school to CM) as it can go in my tiny office without taking up room! But yes, bit of an annoying fold. Selling mine, it's Breen 09 one. I finish work next Tuesday! WOOP WOOP!
