5in, your Mutsy has begun it's journey

BexieID · 10/07/2009 09:44

Oh, i'm so annoyed now. Just looked at my Natwest on-line and have got an extra £72 from Tesco (think it's some share money) so I could have bought maxys Infinity afterall! Grr! The Paypal charge hasn't shown up yet either.

BexieID · 10/07/2009 09:55

PP just suddenly worked, so thats your hubby paid maxy!

nicolamumof3 · 10/07/2009 10:01

the reason i have soooooo much ironing is i have three v.messy boys! i have at least 2/3 loads of washing A DAY. plus bedding, towels, throws, etc. i have a busy machine. i just bought a morphy richards but it seems good was £20 in sainsbo's and has 2yr guarantee so can't go wrong .

still trying to raise funds so that i can get a new buggy for tate, but no ones buying will have to do a big ebay listing but prob after the wedding now.

i love SA too, i spent a month there a few years back fell in love with it.

sweetkitty · 10/07/2009 10:07

nicola - I am down to only ironing things people see no no PJs, bedding etc plus DH does his own and I still have mountains

maxybrown · 10/07/2009 10:13

Thanks Bexie ah bummer about the money. Sorry. It has been collected today too. It is nice to have space back in my house that's for sure.

Our boiler is broken. we thought gas was off but it is boiler....groan. My parents have said they will pay for new one and we can pay them back slowly/whenever, but DH will be shocked at their kindness and feel bad so won't want to do it. I understand how he feels, but the boiler is so crappy and old it is not worth keep having it fixed will have to text DH and tell him. Cold showers for the weekend now anyway.

BexieID · 10/07/2009 10:17

It was meant to be maxy. Should use the money to get Tom the next stage car seat. Have decided on the Maxi-Cosi Rodi XR, so need to find the cheapest place now.

BexieID · 10/07/2009 10:18

Sorry about your boiler though.

sweetkitty · 10/07/2009 10:30

Bexie - that's the car seat we are getting for DD2 next month, DD3 is going into DD2's so DD2 needs a high back booster. Kiddicare seem quite good.

BexieID · 10/07/2009 10:36

They are £76.97 on Kiddicare. Mothercare has one for £70 and Tesco did have them for £72.49, but are out of stock annoyingly, as would get for £65 (and then could double up my clubcard vouchers to get it for half that).

BexieID · 10/07/2009 10:44

Toms only 14.5kg, so not heavy enough to go into the next stage just yet.

NaccetyMac · 10/07/2009 10:49

I've decided I want a Mustsy. But I want a pretty cheap one, lol. Let me know if you see one anybody?

ninja · 10/07/2009 11:07

There's on ending in 6 hours on ebay at £45 atm

Disenchanted3 · 10/07/2009 11:15

Grrr can't go get black frog

Lady doesn't have paypal & money not cleared into bank yet

REALLY frustrating as I have money on way from pp to bank and have lots of money in paypal too,

no one in the family has a pp account either so cant ask them if i can send then pp money and they put cash in bank.

crappy.

Disenchanted3 · 10/07/2009 11:19

and i was trying to order a part in mothercare, they couldn't get through to department, so took my name, didn't get back to me yestrday, i called them today, said they would get back... didn't, so I just called and they said to order it I have to go instore can't do it over the phone,

so thats £4.50 on the bus, 40 min bus journey, 30 min walk to shop to order a part when I was there 2 days ago!

JigglyPiggy · 10/07/2009 11:22

hi dis, sorry your still having frog probs. Is it a part for the frog you need? Do you have a John Lewis close by? I am going to order parts for the bee soon and they were happy to order over the phone.

mothercare are pants, I went in to enquire with them about ordering parts weeks ago and still have'nt had my promised call back

5inthebed · 10/07/2009 11:28

Scatty, I'm not actually SA. I emigrated there with my family when I was 1, then moved back to the UK when I was 15. Have long lost my accent (thank god) and have a lovely geordie one now instead(like). I can still "do" an SA accent though.

Woohoo, my Mutsy is mobile Thank you very very much Maxy. Let me know if I can repay you the favour. (that red first wheels ends today

Re: ironing, I hate ironing so although I have 3 similarly messy DDs I do hardly anything. School clothes are all non-iron, I don't buy cotton clothes except jersey ones and linen gets ironed only in the summer.
Clarty bism I am!

5inthebed · 10/07/2009 11:35

I don't iron. I simply fold and put away, and iron as we go. I hate ironing.

DS1's school fete today, I hope it doesn't rain.

OP posts:
maxybrown · 10/07/2009 11:36

you are very welcome 5in I have decided if I get anything else I will go for something....er more traditional, or with 4 wheels the same size thanks for the offer 5in. I did ask about that older style one you posted a week or so ago, but she said the hood was only for carrycot not pushchair and din't fancy a framed rain cover. I might have a look about. I would consider jiggly's urban chassis but seat units always cost a bomb, well for me to get a cheap rear facer anyway

JigglyPiggy · 10/07/2009 11:40

maxy if you want urban chassis with loola seat unit you can have it as Im done with having more buggies than kids lol

I have major bug love at the mo so just want all the others out the house pronto!

Disenchanted3 · 10/07/2009 11:40

Its actually a cam hood jiggly,

mothercare say I can order just the hood seperatly but have to do it instore,

john lewis lady didn't have a clue and kept trying to sell me a breezy

I'm on phone to bugaboo now, but been on ages and not getting anywhere 'all our attendants are still busy ....'

JigglyPiggy · 10/07/2009 11:43

is this the pink canvas you are after?

If you have no joy I can check with the john lewis near me if you like as they were fab.

Still debating whether to build bee or just buy it.

Do you know if you buy the parts new i.e. via JL are they covered by a warranty period?

5inthebed · 10/07/2009 11:44

I'll keep my eyes peeled then. I'm sure someone at our local SS has bought that cheapy pram, I saw one exactly the same parked there today. T'is a very ugly pram though (sorry)

OP posts:
Disenchanted3 · 10/07/2009 11:47

Thanks jiggly,

I gave up on bugaboo and got my local john lewis number and asked to be put through to the pram dept.

She is getting back to me, easier than talking to general customer services!

I'd just buy it jiggly, would you want a new one? cause you can some used bargains here on MN sometimes!
