maxybrown · 10/07/2009 11:48

lol ha ha ha ha ha. Don't apologise I like older looking things, but they are prob tanks to push.

Jiggly how much you looking for now? (ever hopeful)

maxybrown · 10/07/2009 11:49

I've even been looking at this for a fiver, just as a rear facer, but I got rid of my SC because of bulk and train station steps. Maybe I should have kept my trusty SC

JigglyPiggy · 10/07/2009 11:57

I'm wavering between old and new with the bee due to the number of chassis faults I've heard of plus there is the cost of a new one (ouch emotion)

I love the frog but its getting it in and out of the car so I was thinking of getting the parts for bee as I need them - and can then spread the cost.

maxy that SC is an oldy! I had an old one like that for my mum when she had DD and she loved it as rear facing and the basket was great for shopping.

Dont know what to ask for urban. How much were you thinking?

maxybrown · 10/07/2009 12:09

Oh jiggly I don't know. I shouldn't get anything really. That's why i thought if there was something locally very cheap then....you know!! DS currently has a pair of sandals only and today it is a bit chilly So there are other things I should be getting.

That £5 one is a mothercare. I had sleepover Sc so bit more modern, loved it. But oh so very heavy.

I know that I will want to use it more in winter when going over to see my Mum, which is a walk, a train and a bus, so something bulky is a bit of a PITA although it can be done! Well, I have, on many occasions!

5inthebed · 10/07/2009 12:10

Maxy, what about a M&P MPX? This one is nearish to you, plus she might take less if you don't want the car seat. Looks like a bargain!

OP posts:
maxybrown · 10/07/2009 12:18

Hmmm.... is that a floating harness? looks like it doesn't it? I had a M&P before and that wasn't but it wasn't MPX. need it cheaper really. Or i will just wait until nearer winter and have another look. Sorry, I sound like a right fussy so and so.....but guess that's why we're all here isn't it?

maxybrown · 10/07/2009 12:19

I just realised, think I missed the M&P off my RF list I have had the other day

5inthebed · 10/07/2009 12:23

Probably a floating harness, but bumper bar, so keeps the little blighters darlings in.

Not fussy at all, you're just being practical lol.

I do hope I like the Mutsy! Can't wait for it to get here now. Do you think if I go to the depot, they will let me have it tomorrow lol. Don't think DH will take me there though

OP posts:
maxybrown · 10/07/2009 12:24

Just looked, it's 20 miles away that one 5in, bit far really.

lisad123 · 10/07/2009 12:24

I know I should list on for sale, but thought you girls might like first go. Selling

Bugaboo Cam with newer style chassis and foam wheels

Stokke Xplory in red with footmuff

Mountain buggy in Plum

BexieID · 10/07/2009 12:25

How much for MB?

ninja · 10/07/2009 12:26

Maxy - if I decide I like the Mutsy (taking it out for a REAL walk today) - or find something else, you can have my MPX for nothing.

ninja · 10/07/2009 12:27

yes - how much for MB? (I fell in love with my childminder's one)

maxybrown · 10/07/2009 12:27

oooh Ninja, that is very kind of you thank you! feel bit guilty about that tho.

Lol at the Mutsy.

lisad123 · 10/07/2009 12:27

£220 plus post. 2007 model has 2 extra custom liners to match and hood too and changing bag. Or offers ;)

lisad123 · 10/07/2009 12:29

love plum hate to see it go. I will throw in hearts buggy snuggle too

JigglyPiggy · 10/07/2009 12:30

theres nothing wrong with being fussy, god if i thought a bit more about what i was buying before going ahead I probably would'nt be living in a pram warehouse!

I need to get motivated to get rid of all that im not using but im just so meh about ebay at the mo.

I have never come across a mutsy before what are they like?

maxybrown · 10/07/2009 12:31

jiggly, stop it you ARE obsessed!!!! How forgiving of kerbs is the urban chassis BTW?

BexieID · 10/07/2009 12:31

Will ask MIL as she was on about gettting one the other day for some reason, lol.

Tom wants peanut butter sarnies for lunch but the bread is mouldy and he wont go downstairs to the co-up for a loaf with me, so no lunch for him then!

Disenchanted3 · 10/07/2009 12:40

maxy i live near that £5 checked one, if you ask if they could drop off I'll pack it for you,

ninja · 10/07/2009 12:40

I've fixed the wheels and I'm off!!

The MPX was given to me for free - I realise now they're not a bad pram

maxybrown · 10/07/2009 12:44

Thanks dis, I am IN stockport though so nearer to me than you I think! thanks for offering though.

lol Ninja.....have fun. It is nice when you get going.

Maybe I should hold out for a bebe trophy air 6 that I can afford and that someone will post!

JigglyPiggy · 10/07/2009 12:45

i know i am obsessed but hohum if i could get my backside in gear and shift the pregnancy weight gain I would be posting on the 'im obsessed about clothes' thread!!

Well ive not tried the urban with anything other than DS and the car seat / windoo.

Its much better than the loola but still heavy with the windoo. This is why windoo has gone and been replaced with lovely frog

I tried the streety in toys r us as its really a similar design to the urban but the weight on the streety when lifting to go up (like you would for kerbs) is awful compared to the urban.

god i could sit here all day and talk prams! think im going to feed DS and get out for a walk, weather looks iffy though.

Disenchanted3 · 10/07/2009 12:47

PMSL, D'oh!

nicolamumof3 · 10/07/2009 12:49

jiggly i had a streety they aren't good up kerbs.
