I know I love mine

Libra, your profile isn't there?

maxybrown · 09/07/2009 21:25

better go, I have packing to do

5inthebed · 09/07/2009 21:30

LOL. You going to leave the country with my pram? Good luck with that. I've called the national guard, and your photo is being circulated amongst all the airport staff at every UK airport as we speak.

DH was not impressed I'd bought a new pram, as I'd said the Bugaboo was a keeper. What does he know, he is just a man.

5inthebed so glad you got the response you wanted

Maxy good point about the wheels. Also how long does the cocoon bit underneath last on the P&T?

nicolamumof3 · 09/07/2009 21:38

libra/maxy i know what you mean about the p&t but if you use one and you have two young children to transport safely and easily you would be converted. i resisted and so wish i'd had one as my first double. they are amazing trust me.

5in fab, fab fab news!! am really really pleaed for you lovely xxx

maxybrown · 09/07/2009 21:54

I would only be converted if i would be happy with Ds having no hands....obviously he would have lost them as I whizzed along and chopped them off rEally, he always has "business" to do my Ds. Soon he will be big enought to help daddy with the Vw and that should calm him for a while

5in.....aaaaaarrrrrrrggggggggghhhhhhhhhhh!!! When did you get a photo of me?

babydrip · 09/07/2009 22:09

hiya!
i played in kiddicare yesterday
i was in pram heaven!
really really liked the new vigour 3
dont know really what you were saying about phil and teds....but if you mean about the back wheels and little fingers...ive got mudguards on mine...work a treat!
love
Tracey

5inthebed · 09/07/2009 22:21

I have spies everywhere Maxy. I got the Mutsy lady to take a sly photo of you, just incase this happened

I wish that the P&T was about hen I'd had DS2. DS1 was only 2 then, and it would have been a life saver.

OP posts:
sweetkitty · 09/07/2009 22:47

5ITB - great news for your DS

Libra - oh fingers and everything crossed how very exciting a line is a line will have to check in on you in the morning now

I have had 3 doubles now a side by side (rubbish) a tandem (rubbish) and the P&T the P&T is brilliant, people always go on about the baby being underneath but they aren't really, they recline in the main seat on in the cocoon they the toddler sits on top, cocoon lasts about 4-6 months then the baby goes in the second seat, toddler gets the big pram seat, great to steer, nice and narrow

maxybrown · 09/07/2009 22:48

If you met my Ds you would know that mud guards would mean nothing. I guarantee in another 6 months he will be taking things apart just to see if he can put them back together...freaky

5in I am just adjusting your box for optimum fit. i wondered why she was following me around with a camera

5inthebed · 09/07/2009 22:51

She had a secret camera hidden in her oversized hat. Glad you didn't notice

Off to bed x

ninja · 09/07/2009 22:56

Libra - all the childminders around here SWEAR by the double Mountain Buggy. I've pushed it and it was amazing, so easy to push and that was what made me think I needed to change my pram!

Great shopping basket too

maxybrown · 09/07/2009 23:30

5in, I know you said you were off to bed, but I am panickinag about this Mutsy!!! It would never have gone in the infinty box!! It's just awkward more than anything, b ut I have made the box to fit around it but obv had to leave room to put wheels in etc. I am putting part of the footmuff around the handle.....I hope that is ok, just figured I may as well use what's going into the bos as best as possible?? oh gawd....scared now, hope that's ok!!!! [bites finger nails]

BexieID · 09/07/2009 23:37

maxy, whats your hubbys PP again, just received some funds, lol.

maxybrown · 10/07/2009 00:07

it's [email protected] bexie! Thanks

LibrasBiscuitsOfFortune · 10/07/2009 05:57

erm well it was definite negative (empty box) this morning, which is weird as if I compare it next to yesterdays then yesterdays was deffo positive (line in box). So we are now going to do it the old fashioned way and wait for my period!
It's actually not a big deal if I'm not as it's our first month trying and it wasn't until a week ago that I realised we had done the deed in my most fertile period and got excited. Also if I'm not pregnant this month I probably get to go to South Africa in January so silver lining to every cloud etc

sweetkitty/Nicolamumof3 - you see that's what everyone says about the P&T and why I will probably end up getting one.

Ninja - I love the single mountain buggy (don't have one but have pushed one over snowy/frozen/muddy fields), the doubles look huge however and we have a small house!

sal1309 · 10/07/2009 06:18

morning all

hope your all well

5 in thats great news

libra fingers crossed for you

well i still have a hole in dd's room not impressed so kicking off a royal stink. they keep telling me its safe would any sane parent put there child in a room with insulation hanging down over where they sleep and the room stinks.
Im not one normally to complain but this just take the biscuit they havent even been and sealed it up as a tempory measure god im so annoyed.

Also means i wont get my bcjm for a while now as cant have guests as all the beds ect got soaked

anyway think im going for a soak before dd gets up

nicolamumof3 · 10/07/2009 07:49

morning all, sal that sounds a nightmare!!

hope everyone has good days. i am completing the rest of my ironing backlog and have a child free couple of hours whilst tate at nursery and luka in creche. lovely, i normally help out at school on a Friday so its a treat for me!!

sweetkitty · 10/07/2009 08:18

nicola - wehn you have done your ironing backlog can you come and do mine, I cannot fit another thing in or near the basket, which iron did you get? A while ago I got a link on here that someone was doing those steam generator ones for £30 when they should have been £120 so got one of those, better start using it again I suppose

libra - aww sorry about your BFN, all the testing/TTC malarky can drive you a bit mad, I quite like the look of the Nipper 360 double and the first wheels one. I think if you are going to get a side by side you need big air tyre, little tyres are no good. I would really prefer the baby facing me too which you don't get in a lot of prams too.

right am going to get off here and go make a sstart on everything

FlyMeToDunoon · 10/07/2009 08:24

Morning all.
A big YAY to 5inthebed!
An endorsement for the P&T here even though I wasn't keen on it. It is the best option.
Libra- good vibes coming your way.
Nicola I am very worried about your ironing obsession habits.
Sal, stinker!

5inthebed · 10/07/2009 08:40

Morning everyone.
Libra, sorry about the BFN. at you going to South Africa. I grew up there, and would love to go back
Sal, what a gutter! We had to throw two carpets out after our little flood, dreading the rain coming again!

OP posts:
5inthebed · 10/07/2009 08:58

Maxy, don't worry about the pram packaging, I'm sure it will be fine . I'm not worried at all.

OP posts:
maxybrown · 10/07/2009 09:00

oh good! I asked DH, it seemed fine!! He is usually here about ten to ten but I'll let you know once it's been collected.

We've got no gas this morning no idea why. No hot water or cooker, damn! We got up late and din't realise so no shower for DH, cold water wash, yum!!! lol. His kids will love him today I'll bet

scattykatty · 10/07/2009 09:25

South Africa now that would be nice!(as I come back from my holiday in Manchester with in IL's)

So 5in you're actually a South African which means you must have my favourite accent in the whole world.... literally!

Right, I'm now so jealous I may have to purchase a brand new Zapp in Iron colours that I've been so carefully resisting

Oh well if the DH would transfer to the SA army like I speciafically asked then the DS would have the lovely accent and I would have to go and buy a new pushchair to make up for it

sweetkitty · 10/07/2009 09:34

I got my new Next Directory last ngiht and they have a lovely Quest in pink apples, it's the wheels that put me off though, don't like dinky wheels

BexieID · 10/07/2009 09:38

Oh, FFS, lol. Paypal still won't let me send money even though theres money in there!
