Pushchair shed July part 1 - is there such a thing as a perfect pram?

1000 replies

5inthebed · 01/07/2009 10:08

Bexie reminded me it was the first of July!

I am still on the search for a pram that does all I want it to!

I thinks its a bit far away but hopefully my mum will collect it for her.

Was tempted myself but that would be greedy ... doesn't say which one it is though, always wanted a birdy one myself!

sweetkitty · 03/07/2009 09:22

Morning everyone

No rain here yet a bit fresher though which is good, having lazy morning then off to a friends after lunch

Still waiting for seller of pink Infinity to get back to me, when I have things on ebay I check every 10 mins

maxybrown · 03/07/2009 09:39

Sorry only just catching up from last night! I think my DS is just a lazy little so and so when it comes to speaking. He has no ENT issues, in fact he has never been to docs yet (touches big plank of wood) but I know his hearing is ok. Thinking about it, he can either say a word.....or he can't IYSWIM? He has all the right tones for lots of things, but the words he says are clear as a bell in that anyone could understand him. He doesn't say a certain sound for something as in ca for car or anything. he just says the word. It's like he tests himself and doesn't attempt it fully until he can say it clearly??!!

Anyway......I showed DH th BJCM on you tube last night, just cos I wanted him to see the fold. He said " why didn't you just get one of those instead of all the thousands of others you've had" Mainly cos he gets fed up of trying to work out how each new one folds Right off to look at rear facers.......AGAIN!!!

NaccetyMac · 03/07/2009 10:02

My DS1 has ?sensory processing disorder and has lots of issues with speech. He's bright enough to know that other kids don't understand him, so he doesn't socialise. We have a re-assessment on 13th July with SALT, I'm actually really worried that he might have hit the "good-enough-for-the-NHS" mark and be discharged. He is much, much better, but still nowhere near where he should be.

Anyway, I'm at work waiting for my Vigour 3. Very exciting.

maxybrown · 03/07/2009 11:04

I see everyone's disappeared, but do you not get a rain cover with the BJCM then? It says not included under specification on kiddicare

JigglyPiggy · 03/07/2009 11:09

hi maxy

no you dont get a raincover with the BJCM as people having been discussing the cheaper alternative to the baby jogger brand.

I'm blocking out all this BJCM talk before i get into more trouble

Disenchanted3 · 03/07/2009 11:18

I need to get infinity and BJCM raincovers but need to sell something first, haven't got £30+

No body want any of my lovely buggy things??

JigglyPiggy · 03/07/2009 11:22

ooo what you selling dis?

JigglyPiggy · 03/07/2009 11:23

god my good intentions not to buy anything lasted less than 30 mins, must stay away from this thread!

Disenchanted3 · 03/07/2009 11:26

a few bits

5inthebed · 03/07/2009 11:26

I (think) I've sold the bugaboo bag clips, but it says I need to claim the payment on Paypal? Does that mean the payment is on hold? And if it is, why the hell is it!

Naccety, hope you like the Vigour. It should be with you by 12. Just off to check the tracking on it.

OP posts:
5inthebed · 03/07/2009 11:48

Anybody?

I haven't received an email from Paypal either telling me I have funds, and my paypal account isn't showing it.

OP posts:
Disenchanted3 · 03/07/2009 11:49

no idea, sorry

JigglyPiggy · 03/07/2009 11:52

why on earth would you do this to a presto of all things?! here

GiraffeAHolic · 03/07/2009 11:52

Hello all, sorry for invading the pushchair thread but I need some advice.

I need a new buggy for DD (15 months) she's currently in an I2I Maxx rearward facing but the harness is broken so a good excuse time for a new one

I can't afford a huge amount and think I'm going to have to sacrifice rearward facing I'm looking at the Mamas and Papas Luna in pink.

Any reviews for it all from you experts?

I don't use the buggy a huge amount and it lives in the car boot at the moment.

Am TTC#2 presently so also interested in feedback on the ICandy Pear and First Wheels City Twin please.

Can you tell I'd love to be a buggy fanatic shame my dp bank balance doesn't share my enthusiasm?!

Disenchanted3 · 03/07/2009 11:53

Lol, jiggly

a bloody prestp ??? haha

JigglyPiggy · 03/07/2009 11:54

sorry im nosing around on ebay as i have that i need to buy something twitch, won't be bidding on a blinged up pink presto though!

had a look dis but Im trying to avoid pink accessories no matter how lovely they are

maxybrown · 03/07/2009 11:55

5in....that is odd, only usually happens on new....oh hang on......check your listing. Did you type your email address in slightly wrong? I have done that before.

5inthebed · 03/07/2009 12:12

That makes sense Maxy, as when I'm clicking on it, it's taking me to the PP registeration page.

So how do I fix it?

OP posts:
maxybrown · 03/07/2009 12:16

OK, took me ages this one! Contact buyer and explain, see if they can cancel payment? Seeing as you can't refund it!!!! You can check your listing to make sure by going to items sold, clicking relist (just go through the motions) then before you relist click edit listing and scroll down to your PP payment address. That way you can check you DID type it in incorrectly! Then obviously just come out of that without actually relising it! Then I THINK you can send them an invoice from your ebay ofr the item! Phew! Just double check you did do that first.

maxybrown · 03/07/2009 12:17

I meant send invoice from PP duh!

sal1309 · 03/07/2009 12:18

afternoon all

5 in its porbably the person who has pp you is new to pp. If you log in and go to the transaction there is normally somewhere to click on to claim the money then it should go straight in to your pp as normal hth

giraffe i loved my luna when i had it but heated the floating harness as unless i adjusted it everytime i used it dd could get out or touch the wheels. havent had any of the other 2 so cant comment.

Really need to sell some stuff as got car tax due the end of the month but everywhere seems quiet

LibrasBiscuitsOfFortune · 03/07/2009 12:18

morning, if anyone is interested I rang kiddicare and it is actually the red/cream/black version shown on the photo and not the (argos cheapie ) red/black version.

5inthebed · 03/07/2009 12:23

Nope, its definitely my wrong address! For some stupid reason, it has my old email address. And I can't change it on two of my listings ending tomorrow as they have bids. Aaaaaaaargh.

I have the Argos cheapie one Whats so wrong with that? Its the same pram.

OP posts:
nicolamumof3 · 03/07/2009 12:23
