Pushchair shed July part 1 - is there such a thing as a perfect pram?

1000 replies

5inthebed · 01/07/2009 10:08

Bexie reminded me it was the first of July!

I am still on the search for a pram that does all I want it to!

OP posts:
nicolamumof3 · 03/07/2009 12:25

5in i just not sure the red/black fetch so much as people were aware they were half price thats the only thing i can think of?

Disenchanted3 · 03/07/2009 12:26

in, nothing wrong,

i just meant id bee peeved if i paid £200 for one and people thought it was £65 iykwim?

maxybrown · 03/07/2009 12:29

lol 5in EVERYONE was after that colour when it WAS cheap I remeber everyone asking people to check the Argos near them lol. I'm sticking with my Mac anyway, I can't be bothered selling it to get that just to try it anyway, I'm TRYING to get myself a rear facer. Proving impossible!!!

LibrasBiscuitsOfFortune · 03/07/2009 12:32

5inthebed nothing wrong with the red/black version - they are all the same pram - some poster teased me earlier about the argos version and as I didn't want the red/black I wanted the red/black/cream I just rang up to double check!

Someone also said the cream would get dirty quickly, which is probably true but it just looks a little bit more fun than the black one.

LibrasBiscuitsOfFortune · 03/07/2009 12:34

Also if I paid £65 for one I wouldn't care what anyone thought about it as I would be too busy being smug about the bargain I got

BexieID · 03/07/2009 12:37

I wouldn't care either about the colour, but it's if you wanted to sell on, people will assume it's the Argos cheapie!

LibrasBiscuitsOfFortune · 03/07/2009 12:39

BexieId I think you are assuming that everyone else in the world is as interested in pushchairs as the posters on this thread. I wouldn't have had a clue if looking at one on ebay....

maxybrown · 03/07/2009 12:40

I'm going to end up with that loola at this rate....and nobody cares sniff!

nicolamumof3 · 03/07/2009 12:40

im not mad on any colour of the BJCM's but i do feel i should try one as can't go wrong at that price so boring black for me! i've never liked red prams its all personal preference tho isn't it. many people wouldn't have liked my blue camo p&t but i loved it or a bright green luna. i do like bright prams i like blue and green, and orange!

Disenchanted3 · 03/07/2009 12:41

Thats what I mean Bexie, if Argos sold them again Id be first in the que! £65 is BARGAINOUS!

But I wouldn't want a black/red one if they sold now at £200 cause they are the same as the £65 ones.

But Id buy for £65.

Does that make sense?

maxybrown · 03/07/2009 12:42

I like bright green too...........but I love red! I can't stand anything camo...cl;othes anything! We're all different! I like stripes best (not on me yuk! well socks) but DS has little choice. I LOVE multi coloured stripes

maxybrown · 03/07/2009 12:43

again it proves, something is only worth what people are willing to pay

Disenchanted3 · 03/07/2009 12:43

I love spots!

But have to be the same sized spots, I don't like big and little ones mixed! lol

maxybrown · 03/07/2009 12:45

yeah...esp if they have stuff in you can swuirt out....oh no.....wrong spots

maxybrown · 03/07/2009 12:46

squirt even

Disenchanted3 · 03/07/2009 12:48

Ewww! lol

maxybrown · 03/07/2009 12:51

sorry I WAS joking!!!!! Nipabout anyone? I asked yesterday if any experience of one but no answer? Made by out n about still.

NaccetyMac · 03/07/2009 12:53

Vigour here, I love it. Thanks 5in! I had the old style vigour 4 before, and it was OK but had issues, and this one (3+) seems to have addressed most of them! xx

FlyMeToDunoon · 03/07/2009 12:54

Hi all.
Nothing to report but am sitting having a MN after walking around town all morning pushing DD3.
Nice and cool!

maxybrown · 03/07/2009 12:56

Are you all rubbing your rear facers in my face??

FlyMeToDunoon · 03/07/2009 12:57

CarGirl [again!] had a Nipabout and often recommended it. Have seen one about and looked nice.

BexieID · 03/07/2009 12:59

Thats why you get bidding wars on ebay for some items, selling more than RRP for example. I've overpaid for something once as I really wanted it . Yes, most peple probably weren't aware of the Argos bargain anyway.

nicolamumof3 · 03/07/2009 13:08

maxy i quite like look of nipabout but seat does look a bit narrow to me? it looks heavy?

something holding me back from ordering BJCM i should just get it shouldn't i for the sake of £130? i just am so happy with quest.

sweetkitty · 03/07/2009 13:20

Giraffaholic - I had the Luna in pink and now have a Lunamix I love my Luna mix I love the floating harness, Littlewoods direct do them and you can often get a good discount, i got £50 off my Luna mix

Libra - it's like everything else personal choice, I wouldn't have an Orange Luna but love pink, I have a black pram and it's mancky already with DD3, anyway you can jazz it up with a gorgeous liner or cosytoes. I would have snapped up a £65 BJCM that's for sure

claret1980 · 03/07/2009 13:26

Wheres all the nice sunshine gone? I had to walk back from playgroup with boys in the rain. They were dry in P&T but I was soaked. It ds1 nursery trip this afternoon and dh has taken him to local animal park. They are gonna be soaking when they come back.

Have offered a reasonable offer for the Zapp near me. I'm not bothered if I don't get it, but I thought I would try it for the price.
