Hello, you all seem to be the experts so can you help with my buggy dilemma? We're going to need an umbrella fold buggy at some point and are about to go to Canada to visit family so may as well do it now so that we can take it on the plane.

Our requirements:

  • DD is 6 months so it doesn't have to go flat but would be good if it could recline fairly well
  • It needs adjustable handles/long handles as DH is about 6" taller than me, ideally one handle (we've got a bee and love the one handedness) but if one isn't possible, still needs to be longer than usual
  • Something that will fold down to a small size for getting on the plane

I guess that's it really! Budget, hmmm... if it's going to last a few years then we're happy to pay maybe up to £250 or £300 but don't want something that will get buggered up on the flight...

Any suggestions? thanks very much in advance...

nicolamumof3 · 20/06/2009 21:18

i always recommend Maclaren XT for travelling.

Knickers0nMaHead · 20/06/2009 21:27

Your dd is lovely fmtd

5inthebed · 20/06/2009 21:59

I'd recommend a Baby Jogger City Mini (BJCM). Ticks all those boxes

Got the footmuff for the bug today, so red basket and red footuff now on, and it looks fab!

FMTD, glad you like the infinity. Its lovely being able to see your DC isn't it?! Soglad I got a rear facer again. DS3 loves being able to see me when we are out and about. Oh, and he also sits twiddling his toes on the bars at the sides.

nicolamumof3 · 20/06/2009 22:11

FlyMeToDunoon · 20/06/2009 22:30

Thanks. Have just looked at that photo again and realised that she is holding her feet up but in fact they sit quite comfortably in the footrest bit.
She doesn't reach the footrest on the Jane Energy!

nicolamumof3 · 20/06/2009 22:30

so which do you prefer? jane or infinity??

5inthebed · 20/06/2009 22:33

Will take some pictures tomorrow. I can't wait to take it out now. Just bought a red parasol as well, so going to look fab

I'm totally buzzing. Just got a text from a friend telling me she had her little baby yesterday.

FlyMeToDunoon · 20/06/2009 22:42

Hmmmmmm. For the feel of pushing it and the nice baby/pram feel I like the Infinity.
Jane is a pushchair- workmanlike, everyday. really nice fabrics though.

I think I am a proper pram type person so fall slightly more for an Infinity type.
It has an old fashioned air about it.

Might take some pics of mine that show it up better and now it is looking cleaner.

nicolamumof3 · 20/06/2009 22:48

ooh yes please lots of pics, are there any pockets on it? im a sucker for pockets, zips etc lol.

pebbles79 · 20/06/2009 22:54

There's two pockets on the back of the Infinity and a clip to hang things from too. One pocket has a popper to close it and the other is just like a net bag. I actually have babystyle bayamo black seat covers on my Infinity and it only has the one large net pocket but I actually prefer it because it fits the raincover which leave my basket free.

maxybrown · 20/06/2009 23:11

silver cross freeway/sleepover - linear&classic

I love this colour Buzz. The footmuff is lovely as well.

I've been up for hours. Got a banging head and all bunged up. Hayfever at its best!
