Morning!

FlyMeToDunoon · 04/06/2009 11:31

Lol Nicola. I was reading Mog and the Baby to DDs last night and at the part where Mrs Clutterbuck leaves the baby with Nicky and Mummy-to go shopping, DD2 asked 'why doesn't she just take the baby shopping with her?'
I wonder
My worst time was trying on swimming costumes in Next and DD1, 3 or so at the time, giving a running commentary with some rather critical comments!

So did anyone from here win that XT? It sold for £95.

Still loving the Jane Energy.

lillypie · 04/06/2009 11:58

The Energy is such a lovely buggy
I WANT ONE !!!!

maxybrown · 04/06/2009 12:14

Right guys advice please.

I need some sort of sun cover device (NOT A PARASOL OR CANOPY) mainly for my Nipper. It is really for when DS is asleep. I spent all of last summer with him facing me and it always seemed easier to keep him covered. Now then, the Nipper hood is fab, but his legs are still too exposed when asleep and just still. Is the shade a babe thing the only "thing"? He would go mad if he was awake and that was on but being asleep would be fine. At the min I just drape a blanket over the hood but not always practical esp if windy....whoosh!

FlyMeToDunoon · 04/06/2009 12:41

IMo the shade a babe is too expensive-especially if it's only for when he is asleep. I had a multishade expensive too but you could try ebay.

I do think there is a gap in the market for a smaller, cheaper sunshade. Wish for instance that you could get one like a Maclaren raincover, which stretched over the hood and velcroed to the front.

I also used to drape a blanket, a crocheted one so it had small holes in it for draught, was stretchy and dds could see out a bit.

BexieID · 04/06/2009 13:25

maxy - picked up the little tikes toy from the sorting office. That must have been my mystery caller from monday, lol.

nicolamumof3 · 04/06/2009 13:50

FlyMeToDunoon · 04/06/2009 15:34

Like the necklace style but think it might clash.

nicolamumof3 · 04/06/2009 15:42

mmmh yes me too. damn. square one again!! im more worried about shoes, i need them for dress fitting in 3 weeks!! aaaaghhhh!

saw a mac xlr in brown/green today, gorgeous!

FlyMeToDunoon · 04/06/2009 16:49

Pushchairs easier to buy than shoes!

maxybrown · 04/06/2009 16:55

Thanks flyme, I'll investigate. that's the sort of blanket I use now, one of his moses/pram blankets (ah!) but wanted something bit more reliable....hmmm another hole in the market. We should really all start our own business you know....

Nicola that's the Mac I have! It is nice.

maxybrown · 04/06/2009 16:55

Oh and Bexie, glad you got it! What a strange postie?!

FlyMeToDunoon · 04/06/2009 17:12

Volo sold again

claret1980 · 04/06/2009 17:42

FMTD great that the volo sold.

Nicola, I got my wedding shoes off an ebay shop. They were the same ones as in my wedding shop locally but when I told them how much I paud for them she was gobsmacked and told me she must have been selling them with no profit.

NormaSknockers · 04/06/2009 20:21

Maxy the Kiddopotamus Rayshade is a very good one & not as expensive as some of the other brands on the market.

maxybrown · 04/06/2009 20:23

Hmm thanks, that might be good and could also be on when he is awake!!

NormaSknockers · 04/06/2009 20:30

These ones are a good price.

ScummyMummy · 04/06/2009 20:33

I need your votes, pushchair experts. Please.

carrielou2007 · 04/06/2009 20:48

Evening all, the bugaboo sunshade is perfect. It stretches over the end of the hood and to the bottom, is sheer, silver, allows air in and folds tiny. On the bug it has a rod to keep it upright but you can use it without.

I have been using a shade-a-babe (the new zip one is great as you can leave it on and unzip the front so little one can see out) but the bug will sort of-ish with the help of two pegs at the bottom fit on the xt and srunches down to nothing when not being used.

nicolamumof3 · 04/06/2009 20:57

hello carrielou!

FlyMeToDunoon · 04/06/2009 20:57

Carrielou do you mean this?
How does it fix at the sides and is it long enough for toddler legs.
Wish they gave you a better view!
The price is good-this is what i had in mind in my description of 'ideal' product.

carrielou2007 · 04/06/2009 21:02

That's the one, it attahes by two loops on he bug which sort of fit on the raincover 'knobbles' on the xt. I have to used two pegs to keep it on the bottom but yes, comes to dd's ankles. If I don't get it just right it does ping off on the xt. If we go out for the day walking I take the zip and go one. If I am just out for a walk of say an hour I use the bug one. Not perfect but close!!

FlyMeToDunoon · 04/06/2009 21:07

Hmmmm.....

Thought my sunshade days were over but that is worth a look.

FlyMeToDunoon · 04/06/2009 21:17

ugly but cheap sunshade

carrielou2007 · 04/06/2009 21:20

It's very like that really. They do one for the bee which totally covers the buggy so would be a lot longer? Could be good for our lanky leggied one's??
