yes thats the one bexie

LittleMissBliss · 27/05/2009 22:27

Hi ladies can you please help me? (Links pretty please if pos, because most pushchair names go right over my head)

I am looking for a double arround £200-£250.
NOT side by side, for a 23m and newborn (not urgent have 4m to find one), if not from newborn can be from 3m+. Don't like P&T would like both children to be able to see out. Also must be able to fit in the boot of Clio...um think that's it...

any help would be much appreciated, not fussed if it is new or used what ever is the best value for money really.

TIA

claret1980 · 27/05/2009 22:33

Vigour sold and paid for. Now to look for a nice cheap mac quest or techno me thinks.

FlyMeToDunoon · 27/05/2009 22:34

Little Miss did you need to buy new?
If not the maybe a jane powertwin

LittleMissBliss · 27/05/2009 22:35

something like this possibly, feel free to tell me if it is rubbish....

ideally i'd like something in a lovely bright colour....

LittleMissBliss · 27/05/2009 22:38

Flyme I love them i was intially looking at them as i admired one from affar. Then managed to push one, kind of asked a lady a barely knew because liked the look of it so much and it was really light and smooth. Would it fit in the boot of a Clio? [hopeful] Nope new doesn't really bother me too much as long as it's clean!

FlyMeToDunoon · 27/05/2009 22:39

Jane twin two
some hideous Graco thing but one review says it fits in a corsa

FlyMeToDunoon · 27/05/2009 22:40

ooops x post!

pebbles79 · 27/05/2009 22:41

Jane Powertwin comes in some lovely colours! I had one in Cherry for my DS and DD, it's red and green and probably sounds horrible but it was gorgeous! I still miss it .

pebbles79 · 27/05/2009 22:42

Also, I've pushed the Graco one before and it's really hard work!

FlyMeToDunoon · 27/05/2009 22:47

LittleMiss did you watch the video for the powertwin? It shows the pushchair folded and it could be smaller I reckon if you took the bumper bar off.
Might be worth trying to find a store that stocks them [Mothercare?] and asking if you can check wether it will go into the boot.

LittleMissBliss · 27/05/2009 22:51

Lol don't worry not ofended by the graco didn't have my heart set on it or anything just try to be practical! I would prefer a three wheeler as i have a quinny buzz for ds and love pushing it when we go out for walks but find it bulky in shops, heavy for stairs etc... so don't want to make the same mistake again. Just chose it because i liked the look of it and it came in pretty colours, plus it was a present. Can't spend as much this time as not PFB!

Think i will go for the jane power twin then glad it's a hit! And yes i've seen the green and red and like it! Just need to get some advice before picking something again because it looks nice!

BexieID · 27/05/2009 22:52

Before I advertise, anyone want boys Gap skinny fit PJs in 3t? 2 pairs, good used condition for £2?

OP posts:
FlyMeToDunoon · 27/05/2009 22:54

Whats 3t Bexie?

nicolamumof3 · 27/05/2009 22:56

bexie yes i would like to see piccies please! thanks x

pebbles79 · 27/05/2009 22:57

Littlemiss most people rave about their P&T's but I never liked the fact that they baby couldn't lie flat when in toddler/toddler mode, and although I've never tried one I'd still only ever go for the Powertwin. I used it daily for about 10 months and never found a problem. You have to expect that it'll be a bit heavier to push than a single but TBH, I've had heavier singles - I think pneumatic tyres are a must on a double!

nicolamumof3 · 27/05/2009 22:58

3y i hope!! tate is wearing that size atm they are soooo gorgeous!

right buyer of quest coming tomorrow said she might have my maclaren liner as well. woohoo made a profit on that.

on a downside dp said he will take me to pram shop over in essex next weekend so i can see peg perego si as we are going to family party there, BUT it is closed on Sundays. great eh?! just my luck.

BexieID · 27/05/2009 22:58

On my trail here.

Silly American sizing, lol.

nicolamumof3 · 27/05/2009 23:01

i agree having used a few doubles air tyres are absolute essential. theres a lady up the road with similar aged siblings to my two boys. watched her struggle for over a year now with that graco quattro...don't do it. i had similar misgivings about the p&t...but try one i guarantee you will love it so easy to push and get around shops and so flexible (great that it turns into single when older dc at nursery etc) my second choice would be the powertwin tho for a tandem. but i think if i were to do it again and not get a p&t i would have a nipper 360 double.

pebbles79 · 27/05/2009 23:09

I would like to have tried a Nipper twin too Nicola but what put me off is that I walk to school with another mum who has a baby in a pram and we'd have taken up too much pavement space, lol!!

LittleMissBliss · 27/05/2009 23:11

Our local Mothercare doesn't stock them nor does the local babies r us. Will research local independants. Thanks for your help, off to bed as my typing isn't make a great deal of sense. If the worse comes to the worse and it doesn't fit at least its another reason why dp should buy me a 5 door, i can only live in hope!

Will be back in the morning thanks again!

LittleMissBliss · 27/05/2009 23:12

*making- the irony.

nicolamumof3 · 27/05/2009 23:17

Bex how much posted for the green tractor pair. i bet hollie/prammymammy would be interested in the others! thanks xx
