Morning everyone!

LittleMissBliss · 28/05/2009 08:13

Nicola The thing about a P&T that i can't get over is how boring it must be for the sibling in the lower part of the pushchair. I'm also not keen on them being so close to the ground. I mean what if the paths all dusty, or gravel gets flicked in, or they get splashed in puddles etc. Also you can't really see them too well when pushing as they are at your feet.

I think the size of them is great so they must be great for shopping and easy to push.

Just had a look at the nipper and like the 3 wheeler aspect and side by side element(both being able to see out, see each other etc.) but just seems too wide for me, it would be wider than my quinny which often bangs into stuff in over stocked shops. But can see it being lovely to push on walks.

nicolamumof3 · 28/05/2009 08:17

The thing is with the p&t you are more likely to have your older sibling in toddler seat on back as they hop in and out and younger one in front. i had no issues with mine be able to see as they had excellent views to side, and they only need to look up and can see you can hear you to chat etc. Obviously not perfect but i've had several doubles and its as near perfect as you can get for two siblings. the nipper is lovely too, i would love one! as i've got a single version. currently trying to wean ds2 off buggyboard tho so certainly not going back to doubles!!

Just added some BNIB boys sandals sizes 6-10 on for sale if anyone interested!

LittleMiss I had a P&T. I went into the pram shop to try out a Cosatto duet lite and came away completely converted to the P&T.
It is very light and can turn so easily. IME the baby does not mind being underneath and can see your face as you can see it -which was good for us as DD3 had reflux and would throw up and choke unexpectedly. We could have her on a slight incline by having the side zips done up which was helpful-hopefully those are not things you would need.
The older child, when you have a new baby, has a great ride up higher.
When the baby gets bigger they can go in the back seat and seem perfectly content or go in the main seat at a recline which is fine.
DD2 was often in the back seat.
The difficult point I think is when the baby is too big for the lying down bit but too small for the back seat. Then juggling is required.
I wasn't keen on my P&T and sold it after a year but it was the best option available for us.

morning all! sorry claret i missed your post about vigour, i have just sorted out what was the spare room so i could get ds out of my room lol how wierd does it feel when your kids go in their own rooms for the first time! i wanted to put him back in with me.
how light is the vigour? i had my first physio session yesterday and the guy that i saw could not believe how weak my wrist is so i need something really light to push.

Disenchanted3 · 28/05/2009 09:35

Morning!

I booked for my quest to be collected by P4D and it was yesterday, but just checked the tracking and it says 'over large' and 'too long'

I've had them pick up loads of umberella strollers and never had a problem.

Is he going to hand me a big charges letter as well as the buggy?

Am bricking it

Can't get hold of P4D and DHL wont talk to me without a tracking number which the seller has.

Disenchanted3 · 28/05/2009 09:36

I bet the nobby seller has put it in a massive double MB box or something!

nicolamumof3 · 28/05/2009 09:56

i think others have had that dis but no actual prob once it arrived.

Fara, i think claret has sold her vigour now?

Waiting for lady to arrive to collect Quest now. Now do i buy Sals 4Seasons or Peg Si, or just save the money for wedding decisions!! Will be using zapp today need to go on bus with it and would prefer mac fold to be honest as can do that one handed.

Disenchanted3 · 28/05/2009 10:01

Yes the P4D lady emailed and seemed to think there wouldn't be a problem but to mail her back if i needed to.

nicolamumof3 · 28/05/2009 10:05

oh thats good, hope its nice when it comes!

5inthebed · 28/05/2009 10:16

How does the Si fold Nicola? If this is going to be your one lightweight pram, I'd have to look at the fold. We all know how macs fold, can be done one handed and in seconds. Some M&P's are two handed folds.

Flyme, how hard is it to get rid of that rust on the MB? And would you be interested in (possible) swap for my black on black Mac? Getting bored of the mac, and fancy a change. Pushed it the other day and bored. LOL, how can you be bored of a pram?

nicolamumof3 · 28/05/2009 10:22

yes you do get bored. it folds umbrella supposed to be one hand. i rarely go on buses tbh today is a one off, maybe once every couple of months maybe less. i usually go by train.

i think that would be a fab swap!!

farrahplus3 · 28/05/2009 11:30

i wasnt after one immediatly nicola just trying to find something suitable before i start selling what i have already lol
i like the look of the peg si nicola similar wheels to ziko arent they and you loved your ziko!! either one you get you will probably change your mind once you have used it

nicolamumof3 · 28/05/2009 11:38

i think the vigour would be nice for you fara. i think im going for si, lady came and got quest this morning so thats £120 towards it, got zapp on for sale now, if i sell that i will order si.

farrahplus3 · 28/05/2009 12:28

i think its ebay listing time, but need to know how much vigour weighs first. what colour si are you going to order nicola?

nicolamumof3 · 28/05/2009 12:35

i think the cedro, either that or the orange, what do you think?

FlyMeToDunoon · 28/05/2009 13:04

5inthebd I don't think I want a mac just now sorry.
Dis has done rust on an MB so she may know. I would imagine it's rub down and spray with some kind of paint-hammerite?

Disenchanted3 · 28/05/2009 13:11

Awww man.... Quest just arrived!

Def NOT immaculate!!

I should have known when they described it as 'emaculate'

Grrr, so pissed off, I'm gonna have a fight on my hands and loose postage.

So peeved off.

nicolamumof3 · 28/05/2009 13:15

oh dis, shame whats up with it? as the whole lot will come off and go in machine inc. the hood.

Disenchanted3 · 28/05/2009 13:17

Well its dirty, frame is ok, but hood has paint and holes in it

All reflective trim is rubbed off and the raincover is a maclaren but must be a different model as its miles too big, it wont stay on once you put the holes over the pokey bits, its just massive. and looks ancient!

farrahplus3 · 28/05/2009 13:42

those are the 2 i like aswell nicola i have a thing about orange at the moment so i would go for the papaia, but they are both really nice colours. have you seen the skate in bubbles green? that is lovely

nicolamumof3 · 28/05/2009 13:44

yes it is lovely.

NormaSknockers · 28/05/2009 14:17

My friend has the Cedro & it's a GORGEOUS colour IRL
