Morning!
I must go to the library too but with funds as I think there are several childrens books hidden away and overdue.
MB is in bits on my bedroom floor to stop me using it and DCs climbing on it.

FlyMeToDunoon · 27/05/2009 11:49

Oh dear I really don't like the Volo after using the Mountain Buggy for so long. I can't believe I used a Triumph as a main pushchair for DDs 1 and 2. It is such hard work to push them with DDs in, shopping on and up hills.

Any suggestions as to a narrow, air tyre, small folding pushchair?

nicolamumof3 · 27/05/2009 12:37

flyme i know its not air tyres but what about a BJCM everyone raves about them and nice and compact?

FlyMeToDunoon · 27/05/2009 12:53

Hi, I have looked at then so many times [though not in the flesh] and just don't like the look of them. Plasticky thin wheels. Can't imagine the suspension is as good as air tyres.

MB is bulky to store and I am fed up of having a three wheeler to walk around in my dining room. It is too wide to get through the doors without a fight-doors have scrapes in frames!
Maclaren is nice and narrow, carries a lot even if a pita to push fully laden, can be folded to go into the understairs cupboard.

Do you reckon it would be mad to keep MB and get rid of Volo, so that MB was only pushchair?
If I made the effort to fold every time I brought it into the house and made a space for it erm somewhere?

Crumbs It's a conundrum.

horsemadgal · 27/05/2009 12:58

BJCM def worth a try Dunoon, can push my 5 year old in one easily.

nicolamumof3 · 27/05/2009 12:58

flyme it would seriously piss me off i think if i had to fold my nipper to get in the house or to store we. we are fortunate we have a large door and hallway and an understairs area (as well as cupboard) so nipper just lives there. mac and zapp then go in understairs cupboard. i think you need an xt i really do. bigger wheels will make the difference and higher handles.

nicolamumof3 · 27/05/2009 13:04

this is worth a watch (i am!)

FlyMeToDunoon · 27/05/2009 13:13

Oh I don't know!

nicolamumof3 · 27/05/2009 13:24

selling zapp and volo should give you enough for xt, then you could keep mb till your sure if you will miss it. xt will be better for you as a stroller.

FlyMeToDunoon · 27/05/2009 13:29

I know but was hoping to make some cash too!
Also two large pushchairs, and I think of XTs as large now would drive me barmy.

nicolamumof3 · 27/05/2009 13:56

would xt not fit under stairs then? you need something tho for the handle height don't you? im ok being a shorty!!

FlyMeToDunoon · 27/05/2009 14:10

Right think I am going to sell all and go with Energy as per Plan A.
But will sell zapp and MB first to give me funds and still have volo for transport.
Can't afford new Mac and not keen on taking a chance on an ebay one.

claret1980 · 27/05/2009 17:47

Evening all!
Spent all day trying to clear up the junk from the house. Dh did tip runs and I did the shreading. Having new carpets laid on fri.

I really need a small pushchair for ds1 to go in occasionally. Was thinking of a Zapp but also a BJCM but they are quite expensive. I got a quote £189 inc raincover. Thought it was expensive.

Unfortunately the Vigour is not for me as it too big. I will put on the for sale boards (only for price I paid though - don't want to start any arguements). If I get no joy I guess it will have to go on ebay.

pebbles79 · 27/05/2009 17:48

What about a Quinny Speedi?

claret1980 · 27/05/2009 18:00

Just need something small really.

Flyme How much for Zapp?

FlyMeToDunoon · 27/05/2009 18:32

I loved my Vigour but agree they are big, like the MB to have around.
Zapp is on ebay with bids so I would be reluctant to cancel now-sorry.

I had a Quinny speedi and wasn't too keen because it didn't sit upright and it is heavy.

claret1980 · 27/05/2009 18:55

Will check one out on Babyvalue, thats if I don't decide I want something else. Maybe a Techno XT or Mac Quest.

nicolamumof3 · 27/05/2009 20:03

claret for a small buggy i would recommend a quest for you it will be better than a zapp as your ds still quite small needs the recline? don't you have ziko tho??

Someone was after a vigour on for sale weren't they?

sal1309 · 27/05/2009 20:42

hi all hope your all well

cant keep up these days lol not bought anything since my zia lol. Really need to sell some though have decided to sell my jane and my maclaren 4 seasons for deffinate now just need to advertise them but cant be bothered lol

nicolamumof3 · 27/05/2009 20:44

hiya Sal does your dd mostly walk then now. i dread that day, no pushchairs!! nowhere to put your bags lol! i still want your 4seasons but need to get selling first. but can't decide 4seasons or peg perego si...decisions.

claret1980 · 27/05/2009 20:53

I do have my ziko which I like loads. But would need one for the car or for ds1 when we sometime go out with my parents and they don't have room for P&T.

I have replied on the for sale board.

Also got my buzz car seat/dreami adapters for sale too.

sal1309 · 27/05/2009 21:00

yes nicola she walks most places now so going to keep the zia for the boot of the car and ive still got my old xt which im going to keep hold of, and ive got a quest at my mums (might have a few more there i cant remember lol)
Need to have a good sort out i think, Ive still got the bugaboo i built aswell but think i might keep hold of that.

No worries hun let me know if you want it. Its really lovely but cant justify using it lol.

nicolamumof3 · 27/05/2009 22:13

ok sal i think my quest may have sold so i might have quite a chunk towards it if it has!

FlyMeToDunoon · 27/05/2009 22:16

Well ladies another quiet night. It's not as if we are all pushchaired out is it?
I tell you I was cursing again today at the lack of a decent all singing all dancing pushchair.
It would need:
Air tyres-unpunctureable
Recline- that doesn't wake you child up!
Swivel wheels
Storage pockets, large and accessible
Enormous shopping basket which will not fall apart and you can get into without crouching on the supermarket floor like a loony [I often hold strained conversations with the friendly staff as I bob up and down before them. 'Can I help with packing?' um no not unless you can scan and come round here and have the knees of a well oiled robot]
Soft, unbulky raincover which you can store somewhere unobtrusive on the pushchair.
To be narrow.
To fold up compactly and without the need for three arms and an engineering degree plus a lot more patience
To not cost that fourth arm and the leg you needed to fold the pushchair with.

Aaaah rant over.
Now are you reading this Maclaren/Quinny/Bugaboo/Jane?????

nicolamumof3 · 27/05/2009 22:19

i think an xt ticks alot of those boxes dunoon!! the new 09 raincover is fab on the xt. just no air tyres.

im gutted my quest has sold weird cash buyer who wanted to buy at lower price, now im not sure what i've sold it for, or whether i can pull out?!
