evening ladies, just got back from afternoon at my parents which was a lovely break saw my mums hairdresser who had a play with my hair for the wedding and curled it lovely!

mcflumpy · 23/05/2009 03:48

new to thread, we're about to opt for an easy walker sky due to extreme difficulties in obtaining mb (knock on effect of them going into administration) anyone know much about them? Seems like a good pram and folds to a way better size than mb, but haven't been able to get a lot of feedback on it?

Thanks in advance.

nicolamumof3 · 23/05/2009 06:59

welcome mcflumpy, heard mixed reviews on the easy walker, i think it looks lovely, love the colours, but have no experience of it.

mcflumpy · 23/05/2009 10:56

thanks nicola, it seems to compare well to the mountain buggy, baby due in june but mb saying that stocks won't be available til at least july, and even at that no guarantees! real shame as its a great pram, but we don't want to risk not having any pram.

Only bad review we could see for the easy walker sky was about tyres deflating, but intended to fill the tyres with that squidgy stuff anyway, same for mb. we're going to take another look today. if we do buy, we'll be sure to post a review.

Evening all! Back from our holiday, did not strangle dd's dad or actually argue that much but bit my tongue so much I almost bit it off!!

mcflumpy which MB are you after? An independ baby shop near me stock them new, they are brill for service? The shop is called Trendy Baby in the town of Clevedon, somerset and they are also on ebay?

I've not had either but everyone who has ever had a MB raves and raves and raves about them (I still hanker after another 3 wheeler)

nicolamumof3 · 23/05/2009 19:25

hiya carrielou....ssoooooo quiet on here atm. lovley to have you back! hope dd had a lovely hols x

mcflumpy · 23/05/2009 20:06

we were after the urban single, however, everywhere we have tried are now saying that stocks are not available until at least late july. Apparently they've been bought over by phil n ted's and have not been manufacturing whilst the buyover was sorted which means stock is low to none the only colour we could find available was brown, which is nice but not what we want. The party line from MB is that the earliest stocks will be available is now late july (it was previously reported that stocks would be available late april, this did not transpire). Think the difficulty is their location i.e. not made in China!

Easy Walker looks like a good robust buggy, maybe just not as well know here?

maxybrown · 23/05/2009 20:09

well, for anyone whose interested , which is probably no one I know, but prob more interested than DH, I picked up my newer Nipper today! Yippee!! It is fab, excellent condition and some bits of it brand new. Really chuffed!!! It even came with the nice footmuff with the paw prints on.

nicolamumof3 · 23/05/2009 20:15

im itching for a new purchase now!

lillypie · 23/05/2009 20:17

Evening all Hi carrie x

mcflumpy I absolutely adore my MB but I think that Easy Walker are very popular in Holland and they have lovely colours.

How are things going nicola when is Terry back?

maxybrown · 23/05/2009 20:25

yes still fixed wheel but it is fab! i will do some pics later. And yes sold the other hoorah! I was thinking about you Nicola on our way back with it this morning. DH saying I was addicted lol. I always mention you, it helps!

FlyMeToDunoon · 23/05/2009 21:19

hello all. Two friends of mine came over last night for a visit then I ended up going back into London with them and spending the day there. Such a gorgeous day here too.
So we had a nice time shopping, eating cake and lunching [hic].
Nobody is gonna have my pushchairs
I might have to ebay em.

nicolamumof3 · 23/05/2009 21:21

i can't believe you're not keeping keeping the zapp after all that dunoon. shame you should have checked mine out first. i hate ebay.

i want to buy something....

FlyMeToDunoon · 23/05/2009 21:27

I know but hey ho I had a go of it. I like the colours but the actual pushchair is not me.

Got the volo out and love the colours on that.

Oh it is so hard to get one pushchair and be happy with it.

nicolamumof3 · 23/05/2009 21:35

i love my zapp but just no opportunity to use it. tate rely's on buggyboard am i spoilling him at nearly 3 and half to use it every day. should i make him walk and let him moan/whine?!!

FlyMeToDunoon · 23/05/2009 21:44

Zapp is a marmite pushchair!
Hey no Tate is still a young one and DD2 used her buggy board for a long while. She would probably still leap on now if we still had it.
Actually she would like a pushchair all to herself again. Something happens to DCs- at two they want to walk everywhere and wail when inserted into pushchair. At three and a half/four they want back in the pushchair because they are 'tired'.
lol

nicolamumof3 · 23/05/2009 21:54

yep my boys like that too dunoon, Tom was an early walker (10m) but i can remember taking the buggy to school when he was in reception to collect him on occasion! Tate would happily get in buggy now everyday. we are off to Godstone farm tomorrow and im debating taking nipper and mac for tate as im sick of pushing him on board, and my mum/dad are coming.

FlyMeToDunoon · 23/05/2009 22:02

DD3 walked at nine months. She was very light was Tom?
DD2 used to see double buggys and ask me for 'one like that' And of course I was sooo tempted. She liked the P&T.

nicolamumof3 · 23/05/2009 22:07

yes a tiny little thing he was and still is small bless him. tate is average size but starting to skinny out like tom! he was late walker at 16m same age as luka. luk is my only chunky monkey im so glad i love having a chunky boy!! Tate would happily sit in a double side by side i reckon but don't think he'd be so keen on p&t now.

what would you do if you knew someone was knowingly selling something (yes a pram) for nearly double what they paid for it??

nicolamumof3 · 23/05/2009 22:10

dunoon, was your zapp bnib when you got it?

FlyMeToDunoon · 23/05/2009 22:11

On here?

FlyMeToDunoon · 23/05/2009 22:15

Oh sorry x post.
Breen was not bnib. It has some use to wheels-grit on them etc and a little rubbing to the logo on side. Seller said it had been used for a couple of weeks or summat like that. Covers were immaculate. Raincover unused and in its tissue

nicolamumof3 · 23/05/2009 22:16

she bought on ebay but selling on here. i should prob just keep my mouth shut tbh!! obv if it was one of us buying i would have to say something!!

nicolamumof3 · 23/05/2009 22:21

oh just remembered dunoon you didn't get frm babyvalue did you duh? im tired time for bed!!
