WD on selling Dis £22 is'nt too bad!

mamadiva · 20/04/2009 10:26

Am debating about micro scooter thingy for Liam's 3rd birthday. Everyone goes on about how great they are but I am not so sure about the little wheels imagine they could cause several accidents, then again I spose if they were bad no one would want one...

Any of you got one and would recommend? He already has a chunky scooter with 3 big wheelsbut he just cannot seem to go it now I think it might be too high off the ground for him. Mini one would be handy for folding too I guess....

BexieID · 20/04/2009 10:31

Do you know anyome with a micro scooter he could get a shot on first?

FlyMeToDunoon · 20/04/2009 11:04

Hi

BexieID · 20/04/2009 13:10

One piece of good news, DP hasn't been made redundant! Prob is, now we don't have any time to sort out a mortgage to buy the flat, lol. It's on at £40k and you need to goto auction to bid!

mamadiva · 20/04/2009 13:18

That's good about DP Bexie

You never know the buyer might want to lease it out for money so even if it's just for another few months you would have time to get something.

Where abouts in Dton are you if you don't mind me asking? 40k is really cheap!

BexieID · 20/04/2009 13:29

High St, above the Co-Op. No mention on auction though about damp issues in the flat and the general state of the building, which we'd have to pay out for. We know that the roof is leaking into one of flats upstairs as that is occupied, so that would need sorting out. They are being sold as buy to let, which I assume means whoever buys them need to let them. First thing they'll do is put the rent up and unless they sort out all the problems, we will most likely be moving.

Shame this wasn't last year when you'd get a mortgage with a 5% deposit. Then we's just buy a house. This or this for example.

nicolamumof3 · 20/04/2009 13:33

i know bexie its frustrating eh? we will never own our own home would need at least £200k for anything but more realistically £250k! just for a normal sized family house. ridiculous.

mama, im thinking of micro scooter for tate in the summer. must say the buggyboard is fab, he loves using it, great to be ablet o walk at my own pace again.

BexieID · 20/04/2009 13:39

If new buyer puts the rent up i'll be looking elsewhere methinks. DP knows someone who'd let us rent his 3 bed house near Clydebamk for £400 a month. Atm, we pay £250 a month, so do expect the new buyer to put the rent up to £400.

nicolamumof3 · 20/04/2009 13:52

we so need to move to scotland!

our rent is 850pm for 3bed semi. and that is cheap!!!

BexieID · 20/04/2009 14:10

I think these flats are just cheap due to condition. You can rent a 3 bed house for £800 a month here. Depends on area as well.

Disenchanted3 · 20/04/2009 15:17

Hey girls, Good news about your DP Bexie

Got an offer on my bee hood... BIN £55... £30

I only ever offer 20% under at most.

Tried to borrow a few more quid on the loan to cover some shit things happening at the moment but I have to send my marriage cert off first, and I have a feeling it will be a no as DHs old bank are being wankers with stupid charges

And the 'britax seller' is being really odd,

i emailed her saturday saying i was in the area, can i collect - no reply

i emailed her monday twice to ask if i could paypal her then her drop it off at my mums, who is 7 mins away according to google...

then i got an emaIL YESTERDAY asking if i wanted it as she hasn't heard from me and she wants to relistif not

so i emailed her back (this is all through ebay so she HAS got the messages) and nothing from her!

I better not end up with a bad feedback cause shes a nutter!!!

What Britax have you bought Dis?

Bexie, excellent news on your DH. I prefer the 2nd house you linked, looks more spacious.

Black BJCM on Ebay with raincover for £129.99 Realy want to buy it! Saw one today when at the park with Ds2. Wanted to ask the woman if she would swap for my black mac lol.

mamadiva · 20/04/2009 16:21

O'Hare is nice Bexie but Pappart is a bit of a , my mates dad lives in those flats too LOL think he's above what used to be Savers think tis Superdrug now.

You never know you might strike it lucky with your wee flat especially if no mention of damage/damp etc. Fingers crossed for you!!!

Dis seller sounds like a total head case!!! Back away back away

nicolamumof3 · 20/04/2009 16:22

mmmh nice 5in!

sweetkitty · 20/04/2009 16:47

Hello ladies just adding this to my active convos

How is everyone, busy day here today, DD2 started proper big girl nursery this morning which means I have 5 mornings a week just DD3 and I been outside most of the afternoon have got nothing done though

Dis - about the Britax woman nightmare

Bexie - great news about DP's job and fingers crossed for the flat.

5inthebed - lovely BJCM are you tempted?

FlyMeToDunoon · 20/04/2009 17:26

Oh Dis you aren't having much luck atm.
What kind of pushchair do you want?

JigglyPiggy · 20/04/2009 17:35

mamadiva - thanks for the feedback on the bjcm - saw one in John Lewis but DH was glaring at me with the "not another pushchair" look so did'nt get chance to have a proper inspection.

I think i'm hooked though but can't see many places selling them. Saw the black one on ebay but its gone already!

Can i ask if anyone else knows where to look for one? I have run out of places to search for on the argos website but might call into my local store and see if sticking my baby bump out will help them locate one!!

carrielou2007 · 20/04/2009 19:59

Evening all.

My local independant baby shop sell BCJM I had a good look the other day but they are 169pounds!!

I am almost decided on getting an urban detour extreme (one local to me for 40 pounds) for walking/take on haven holiday next month. Do I then sell the quest or xt??

Too many buggies I must sell the zapp and triumph sooooooooooooooooooooooon...

nicolamumof3 · 20/04/2009 20:06

sell zapp, triumph, quest.

5inthebed · 20/04/2009 20:11

I didn't like the colour of the one in John Lewis, was a bit too icky.

Saw a Maclaren 3 wheeler in the park today as well, was quite nice!

And yes, buggar!!! the one on Ebay sold

Essie3 · 20/04/2009 20:30

Ladies, are you the famous pushchair thread? Because you may be able to help...

I want a lightweight pushchair for my DS who is small and 10 months, but it needs to be one which does until he's walking. It needs to be small, light and...FUNKY!
I have bugaboo envy because I have a Chicco Trio (which is fab, but I keep seeing bugaboos everywhere).
My DH lives in London and I go there for long weekends/holidays etc, and we've finally decided that a second pram which lives there would save me carrying the Chicco in the car.

Any suggestions? Funky, please!

Essie3 · 20/04/2009 20:31

*Small, I mean pack small.

FlyMeToDunoon · 20/04/2009 20:37

Essie I suggest a Quinny zapp in maybe Iron colourway.

Will try to find you a link.......
