Thanks pebbles but we're off on our sun hol to Setaon Sands on friday, then off down to my mums for a week. Mamma and Papas in Reading here I come, lol.

Hi, I know this has probably been done to death, but I am looking for recommendations for a twin stroller for holidays.
Suitable for 8mth and 2 yr old.
I have a double Mb but it takes up nearly all boot space so not much left for everything else like suitcases, travel cot etc.....
So something cheap and cheerful
Thanks

nicolamumof3 · 22/04/2009 13:12

i'd get a twin mac then, disenchanted is selling hers on here no1

Jennie, i'd get an xt or xlr then if you are that tall? or try the spitfire out in person as don't think its that much higher than the quest? you may still find it low?

ScorpiowithabigS · 22/04/2009 13:17

I am a huge lurker and have a bugaboo bee coming on friday am very excited. I got it from MN actually

ScorpiowithabigS · 22/04/2009 13:18

Bexie i am due in Dec too wonder if i need a double? Mimi will be 20 months (by 3 days, lol)

BexieID · 22/04/2009 13:21

Tom will be 3.8 so really hoping I won't need a double, lol. Don't think he'd even go on a buggy board.

It is the same age gap between me and my brother. I'm an April baby and he is a December baby, like DP.

nicolamumof3 · 22/04/2009 13:28

Bexie you shouldn't need a double.

But Scorpio i would most certain say you will. sorry! but with that age gap (i have 18m between my two youngest) you def will esp with it being winter.

ScorpiowithabigS · 22/04/2009 13:31

right so bugaboo have about 7 months to make a double, lol. I hate doubles.

Pippinella · 22/04/2009 13:33

Sorry to barge in (serial buggy lurker lol)

Does anyone want my black and red bebe confort Vit? Its in great condition, only £45 delivered?

claret1980 · 22/04/2009 13:45

Congratulations Bexie!!! What a fab Christmas pressie!

Selling my buzz, need a 4 wheeler now. just can't get on with 3 wheels for a little pushchair. Have posted on the for sale boards.

I'm after a Vigour now, I know there is one for sale on the boards but I need to sell this first. Just was ds2 to face me. Not keen on Loolas so this seems like a good option.

TheOtherMaryPoppinsDiets · 22/04/2009 14:08

not for me thanks Pipinella, I had one myself not so long back, fab buggy though

Congrats Bexie!

I just bought a P3 in Cityscape for £20 locally and it's not looking half bad and cause it's that colourway it's pimpeasy. I also bought a Graco on ebay for £20 delivered last night to flog on locally for a little profit.

And just sold my BJCM in black to Pebble who is having orgasms

pebbles79 · 22/04/2009 14:19

LMAO!!! I sure am! Who needs a man?!

sweetkitty · 22/04/2009 14:37

Scorpio - welcome and I agree you will need a double, I had one with DD2 and 3 and there's 2 1/2 year between them, sold it last month to a MNer. Phil and Teds all the way I'm afraid.

Pebbles - whoohooo on the BJCM I was having a good look at one at nursery today, oh and a Zia oh and a Zapp has anyone else almost crashed into the car in front of then as they were too busy checking out a pram in the street double

no1 - do you definitely need a double? I would be tempted to have 2 singles on holiday if I had DH woth me all the time IYSWIM?

I am in utter love with my Lunamix I am happy for now, also had DD3 sitting in the XT today in the garden but she didn't like it no bumper bar to hang off

TheOtherMaryPoppinsDiets · 22/04/2009 14:41

SK not crashed but I was out with my mate this mornging picking up the p3 and we went past a lady with a sand cam and I apparently stopped chatting and turned almost right round in my seat to get a good look I have a problem apparently lol

scorpio I would say any child under 2.5yo would need a double, lathough you could sling your newborn and use pushchair for toddler for a few months and then change to a buggyboard later?

ScorpiowithabigS · 22/04/2009 14:44

Marypoppins - thats what i was thinking....i have a Bugaboo Cameleon & a Bee coming...DH will go nuts if i buy a double but what if it rains, clinic is 20 minutes walk (i dont drive yet)also shops are 15 minutes, plus weekends, and i dont want to have to carry baby all the time, you know?

My friend hasa P&T Vibe and its really heavy.

ScorpiowithabigS · 22/04/2009 14:45

plus this baby in tummy is dc4, so i will have two either side of buggy as well - bit better than 2 walking, one in sling & one in buggy?

sweetkitty · 22/04/2009 14:55

Scorpio - I would say you definitely need a double, any double is heavy after a single but IMHO the P&T is the best double there is and I have had 3, I had 18 months between DD1 and 2 and needed a double until DD1 was just about 3 as she was a runner. When I got pregnant with DD3 I got a double as although DD2 was 2 1/2, with having 4 yo DD1 as well it was better to have DD2 contained and also on long journeys and days out they use to swap depending on who was tired, I usually drive everywhere but the P&T was well worth it. Why don't you buy a cheap double then? Did I see bugaboo with a buggy board in John Lewis once or was I dreaming??? Personally I think 20 months is too young for a buggy board.

sweetkitty · 22/04/2009 14:56

I convinced DH about the P&T be telling him they have good resale value, I sold mine after having it 8 months and bought bunk beds

TheOtherMaryPoppinsDiets · 22/04/2009 15:17

I bought a 2nd hand E3 P&T off ebay for £180 and sold it 6 months later for £225!

ScorpiowithabigS · 22/04/2009 15:40

Bugaboo do make buggy boards, but in town and back would mean she would be standing for at least an hour which is long, really. Then what about walks out and parks/beaches, woods....think a double will be needed. The money side is ok just DH will nag and i don't want to sell either of the Bug's as Bee good for stroller and i love the carrycot on Cam. Plus i will use sling sometimes. I guess P&T is the way to go; i dont like the side by side (having had one before)

ScorpiowithabigS · 22/04/2009 15:41

Mimi will be only just 20 months too; 3 days before EDD.

sweetkitty · 22/04/2009 15:45

That's what DH's do moan about prams mine just shakes his head at me now lol

ScorpiowithabigS · 22/04/2009 15:46

Well i say to mine i dont dictate his tool buying (builder) so he shouldnt dictate mine

nicolamumof3 · 22/04/2009 16:18

scorpio you will so need a double trust me, my 18m would not stand on a buggyboard, he was too young i sold it, he's now 3.3yrs and is using one succesfully but had 18m of solid daily use.

i know you don't like side by sides, but a nipper double would be worth considering as they are super light i have a single which i adore.

time over for a newborn and a toddler i'd have a nipper double, mb double or p&t sport (vibe not worth it imo) sold my sport for £300 was v.happy with that.

nicolamumof3 · 22/04/2009 16:19

oh SK so glad you love luna mix it is a lovely pushchair!
