carrielou2007 · 21/04/2009 07:08

Morning. I had to go to bed too, was too late for me. Good luck with the course Nicola

Ceolas · 21/04/2009 07:22

Can I ask you ladies a courier question please? How much is 48hr delivery of a pushchair weighing about 10kg (packaged) likely to cost?

I'm having hassle with an ebay seller and I'm sure she's vastly overestimated her postage

nicolamumof3 · 21/04/2009 07:36

you can get courier delivery insured up to £50 for about £8 then buy additional insurance if you need to.

or parcelforce via www.senditnow.com is 10.99 insured up to £150

hth.

I sent a buggy yesterday by parcel force 48 (I have to take to post office as I can't wait for couriers due to working) and it was 12.99 with 150 worth of insurance.

Depends if you have agreed less postage before bidding, if not and you ask afterwards - you agreed to the cost when you bid. I list postage as 15.00 on ebay for parcel force as I have to drive to main post office and buy bubble wrap etc.

mamadiva · 21/04/2009 08:22

Morning all,

Nicola good luck with your course!!!

How is everyone? I am shattered today fpor soem reason but heyho atleast it is kind of sunny

Jiggly I got my BJCM by putting an ad on netmums because they are soo hard to get if you don't want to pay a fortune. If you do get one by the Hauch roadster raincover from Ebay mine was £9 inc postage and fits perfectly, it was MrsM who told me about it so that saves a few quid instead of atleast £15 for BJ one.

I seriously can't rate it highly enough (can you tell I love it ) because it's easy to push one handed and folds fantastic as well reclines etc but still folds quite small. I can do pics later if anyone wants

Ceolas · 21/04/2009 08:23

Thanks, this is coming with DHL so I expect one of the cheaper couriers. I did query postage beforehand but she said it was higher because it was being sent with Parcelforce so so I thought fair enough.

FlyMeToDunoon · 21/04/2009 08:45

Ceolas I have used parcel2go who use DHL and it can cost as litle as £8.
Nicola that is great, enjoy your day!

nicolamumof3 · 21/04/2009 08:48

ceolas how much is it and what type of buggy?

Ceolas · 21/04/2009 08:54

I'm scared to say in case it's someone on here!

It's a fairly lightweight double.

FlyMeToDunoon · 21/04/2009 08:56

The only time I have charged a lot for a courier was when I sent my Slalom.
That was a large box and I wanted to insure it up to £200.
I charged £20 and it was actually just over that.

Disenchanted3 · 21/04/2009 08:59

Ceolas buy my double!

I wont over charge on postage!

bargain £65 posted

Dis, sadly it won't fit in my car!

That's why I ended up with this one. It's not very good, but it's the only one that will fit in my car without taking bits off.

Hope I can get a better one for going walks from the house.

Disenchanted3 · 21/04/2009 09:04

Awww

Im bloody stuck with it, lol

sweetkitty · 21/04/2009 16:26

hi everyone I am shattered DD3 has had a few very bad nights with this cold.

On the plus side two people commented on my pram today

Have made about £40 on ebay so far, I have the Luna hood on for £16.49 BIN which is a bargain have had 50 odd watchers but no takers so far, wonder if I should auction it instead?

Ceolas - hello again see you should have bought my P&T which double are you getting, I know you had lots of problems with fitting one in your car.

Dis - hope your double sells soon for you, looks nice, I can't keep up are you keeping the XT now?
