Hey Ladies,

Just thought I'd start a new thread since we are into a new month hope no one beat me too it

How is everyone?

Ooh well done mamad!!

Claret I bought an apples quest last week? I walked with and dd walked the WHOLE way into town 3.9 miles and it rattled and shaked and generally annoyed me the whole way. On the way back with dd asleep, bag of apples, pears, punnet of plums, punnet of strawberries, 4 jacket potatoes, loaf of bread, packet of bacon and 4 pint of milk it just glided along! Will keep XT for long walks and quest for popping out etc.

I had one of the m and p car seats as I had a prammette and hated it and sold it and bought maxi cosi - brilliant, bought the maxi cosi tobi next stage and also brilliant. Worth every penny, especially if you are thinking you will carry bubs in car seat or plonk it on your chasis, so easy to refit - m and p was nightmare!

mamadiva · 01/04/2009 08:47

See I find Mac's quite rattly although it could be the fact its 3 years old LOL.

REALLY want a BJCM but seller has withdrawn from Ebay

carrielou2007 · 01/04/2009 09:03

I've always found maclaren's rattly - every one I've had apart from the new xt just glides and the volo as it's so light I think.

I don't get the BJCM thing, not my type of buggy at all though everyone who has one seems to love them? Not for me though I did check every store near me to try and get one for someone but suprise suprise all sold out!

mamadiva · 01/04/2009 09:08

I like the BJCM but TBH it's a bit of a last resort DS is 2.9 at the mo and still needs the pushchair but on the XT he puts his feet on the wheels because he's so big am hoping that he won't be able to do that on the CM IF I can get one that is LOL.

are you having a girl?

i have a hot pink one and hood for sale

how much for adaptors?

mamadiva · 01/04/2009 09:19

Morning Dis!

Would a nipper 360 be suitable for a BIG boy and would it be any use at all for the odd trip on the bus/train? Only thing that outs me off is that it looks a total faff to fold.

Clutching at straws here, not going to get a CM I reckon so trying to find summit else that might do. Any suggestions?

OP posts:
BexieID · 01/04/2009 10:20

mamadiva - Mountain Buggy? They aren't a faff to fold and Tom, who is 3 on Easter Sunday loves it. Been on the train with it and usually keep it keep and stand ot sit in the bit for wheelchairs if it's not needed by someone. Only ever been on bus with travel system (with my mum) and Micralite. Micralite Fastfold might be good? Toms feet are nowhere near the wheels.

BexieID · 01/04/2009 10:21

My typings poop this morning, lol.

mamadiva · 01/04/2009 10:24

Thanks Bexie, I did think about the Micralite Fastfold only prob being the seat does'nt sit well at all looks awfully laid back. Not bothered about recline as DS does'nt really sleep in pram though.

OP posts:
BexieID · 01/04/2009 10:29

It's not too bad really, it does have 2 seat positions. I'll see if I can get Tom in it later to do a pic or 3.

horsemadgal · 01/04/2009 10:34

mamad, is your boy tall or just big? Nipper seat not so good for tall kids I found.
I ahve pic of my son in one if you wnat to see.
Mail me [email protected].

sweetkitty, oo we should meet up!! Mail me if you like, see above.

horsemadgal · 01/04/2009 10:36

have pic of him in micralite and MB also. Oh and BOB!!

BexieID · 01/04/2009 10:38

lol hmg, saves me trying to get Tom in them. He'll only think we're going out anyway.

mamadiva · 01/04/2009 10:42

Ths is driving me nuts I swear! There is a BJCM on Ebay BIN £135 inc postage but I cannot justify that! And the main part that annoys me is that these folks probably only paid £65 bloody quid for it! ach well what ca you do eh? LOL.

I will just buy a tiny footmuff and cram DS's feet into it so he cannot move his legs to reach XT wheels LOL.

OP posts:
nicolamumof3 · 01/04/2009 10:50

mama, i'd just tell him to get his bloody feet up but thats just me lol!!!

nicolamumof3 · 01/04/2009 10:52

i love my nipper, but wouldn't want to fold it whilst out and about! wouldn't take on public transport if i had to fold, i've got a pic of tate in it 3.2yr he's got plenty of space to sit but his head does nearly touch the hood? he v.rarely uses a pushchair now, and i can see luka being out of one after summer he's a good walker just won't hold hands!

mamadiva · 01/04/2009 10:53

Tried that but he just sits kickin the bloody wheels anyway, disobediant little bugger that he is

Might go over to my mums and borrow her double nipper for a while and see what it's like with him in it, will just nick one of the twins too so I don't look odd

OP posts:
mamadiva · 01/04/2009 10:54

Nicola my DS won't hld hands sometimes either I bought a wrist rein and works wonders with him he doesnt ntice hes attached to me or pushchair... or lamp post depending on how much he is annoying me ROFL.

OP posts:
Hopi · 01/04/2009 10:56

Dis have replied on the other thread re the adapters

We are having a boy so pink is no good! Looks like I'm going to have to sell the footmuff that I have now as I'm pretty certain that it is not a Bee one. I just never thought and I no longer have the receipt. That is £80 down the drain then

TheOtherMaryPoppinsDiets · 01/04/2009 10:58

Mothercare have coffee/green XLr's in stock and still on free delivery so £245 all in.

nicolamumof3 · 01/04/2009 11:13

im talking about luka he's only 20m and not so good about talking. Tate is great walker holds hands all time, thats why im always looking for pushchairs with one handed push.i'd make him get out and walk if he won't sit in a properly!!! horrid mummy i am! i wouldn't want to be spending money on prams now for a nearly three year old tbh...unless i was planning any more of course!

hazygirl · 01/04/2009 11:17

dischanted someone wants you on pushchair for sale x

mamadiva · 01/04/2009 11:35

Oh good god no, no more brats children for me

I can think of a hell of a lot of other things I'd like to be spending my money on but as it goes we live about 2 miles away from town and trying to walk that with him practically daily would take hours....

That's why I want something that I can get cheapish but will do the job, XT just really is a pain I almost broke my ribs the other day when he jammed his foot down on the wheels because it just came to a sudden halt.

OP posts:
nicolamumof3 · 01/04/2009 11:39

i think i know someone selling black BJCM for £80 plus post.

Sawyer64 · 01/04/2009 11:45

Well I have just bought a Maclaren Raincover on Ebay for £18(with p&p)for the Triumph.

Cost me more than the bloody buggy did!!
Grrr.

Teach me to assume that the "details" of the Buggy are always accurate, when sometimes Seller doesn't read them before Copy and pasting them from Mothercare!!
