Its bloody brilliant!! Have just cleaned my stainless steel hob and splashback with it-nothing else but water - started off sceptical-it was filthy from a fry up last night-got rid of every last mark,a quick buff and I have never seen it shine so bright!

My Lakeland order has arrived containing washball, astonish paste and e-cloth. Off to to turn my house from Life of Grime to Life of Shine I may be gone sometime!

psychomum5 · 08/04/2005 17:21

I heard a fab rumour about Lakeland......

My DH was one of the foreman who worked at building Castle-point in Bournemouth, so has this on fairly good authority (altho he may just be saying this to make me look stupid..!)

Lakeland is apparently opening a store at castle-point....no catalogues for me ever again if so!

JanH · 08/04/2005 17:47

I have, cod. White with pale brown spots in fact, a very classy and expensive finish.

Pamina, I don't know about the eraser because I only have the paste (from my last wildly-extravagant-because-of-justifying-the-postage Lakeland order ) Mind you soupy does recommend the eraser and I know instinctively that she is a person with the highest possible domestic standards - unlike One...

E-cloths I have seen in Aldi for a much cheaper price, look identical to the ones in Lakeland, I bought mine originally from Lakeland but will probably pick up some in Aldi next time I go in.

pinkmama · 20/04/2005 14:44

I bought an e cloth equivalent from tescos for 99p. However I didnt get the opportunity to spend loads of money on fab bakign things!

expatinscotland · 20/04/2005 14:46

Thanks, Pamina! Just in time for payday, too!

dropinthe · 20/04/2005 14:51

I love Aldi for lots of foodie bits so will desert Lakeland and its expensive ethos now! New thread name.............................
"I urge you to buy the exact same cloth as an E cloth but at a much reduced price!"...(and let us know where you got it!)
