Its bloody brilliant!! Have just cleaned my stainless steel hob and splashback with it-nothing else but water - started off sceptical-it was filthy from a fry up last night-got rid of every last mark,a quick buff and I have never seen it shine so bright!

Well, I live near the Handforth Dean one - and it has a restaurant (which dh says we can't afford to eat in after I have bought everything I want in the shop. Everything I want if only he knew how restrained I really am!)

I am a sixties child, JT. Well, October '69 - so only just.

JoolsToo · 04/04/2005 09:24

69 - aaah happy days!

didn't know there was a Lakeland at Handforth Dean! - where?

noddyholder · 04/04/2005 09:26

can you clean windows with these?

marthamoo · 04/04/2005 09:29

here

It's Handforth actually, not at Handforth Dean, but same neck of the woods.

JoolsToo · 04/04/2005 09:43

that's handy to know - thanks - I've added to 'favourites'!

expatinscotland · 04/04/2005 09:44

My latest Lakeland desire is those ice lolly moulds. I only wanted them, however, after reading a comment in their catalogue from a customer who uses them the make gin and tonic lollies ! How cool is that??

JoolsToo · 04/04/2005 09:45

very inventive!

have I bought the wrong bloody thing - it says E-Cloth but then in little letters above it says 'glass'?

is there another kind?

dropinthe · 08/04/2005 15:18

You should be able to use it on galss and stainless steel-what does it say on the back?

OP posts:
JoolsToo · 08/04/2005 15:19

haven't looked at the back - its a blue silky thing it says for glass and stainless steel

dropinthe · 08/04/2005 15:19

That the one I was talking about-what do you want to use it for???

OP posts:
JoolsToo · 08/04/2005 15:22

er, well glass I suppose but I just thought it was an all rounder and thought maybe I'd picked the wrong thing up - obviously I'm being completely thick!

I could have spent bloody hours mooching but had dh in tow - I got some stain remover too 'White Spot' - I'll give it a whirl!

Bog off to a Tchibo thread, Pamina!!

hehehe

dropinthe · 08/04/2005 15:28

On the day I bought mine I got all precious about it-told my MIL what it was for(she has just retired as a cleaner!)she swore it looked like any old blue cloth she uses at work and proceeded that evening to clean my wooden table of a curry that we had-so now its a yellowy blu/brown colour-still works as well-I could have killed her!!

Pamina, have you tried the Astonish paste on your sink? Mine has loads of brown spots like rust (probably is rust in fact, off ancient roasting tins left to soak etc) and the paste is quite effective - as well as being wonderful for making your white plastic windows shiny and bright, as moo mentioned

But then if you had to buy it from Lakeland you would be in the same "must buy more while I'm at it" position so I spose it wouldn't help.
