Pantyliners

Are there any which don't have a waterproof backing?

If you're willing to try cloth ones, then fairy hammocks from wee notions might be possible without a waterproof backing?

avenanap · 30/03/2008 22:46

I don't think so. Most of them are designed to be used during a period with a tampon.

horsemadgal · 30/03/2008 22:51

I don't think the really cheap value ones do (Tesco Asda etc). They are very rectangular shaped though!

BecauseImWorthIt · 30/03/2008 22:52

What's wrong with a waterproof backing?

PrettyCandles · 30/03/2008 22:53

Thrush. Was never a problem before ds2, but I seem to be more liable to it now, and I think it's the pantyliners that trigger it.

How do cloth ones attach?

why do people need / want pantyliners?
bath / shower / clean pants every morning.... what's the problem?

panty
moist
gusset

3 words that make me snigger every time....

BecauseImWorthIt · 30/03/2008 23:01

If you're suffering from thrush, why would the panty liners trigger it?

What's your diet like? That's more likely to be causing it.

You need to cut out all yeast, fermented foods, alcohol, sugar and refined carbs.

And with all underwear, a good boil wash.

Cappuccino · 30/03/2008 23:01

so why pretend cod?

why pretend your bits smell of airfreshener?

Cappuccino · 30/03/2008 23:01

no because I don't like disposable pantyliners and I get thrush

they are just icky

controlfreakyagain · 30/03/2008 23:03

they smell like clean fannys.

your fanjo is sping meadow scented is it? or maybe pine fresh?

i want to post something really tasteless about fish.... but i wont.....

Umm, controlfreakky, sometimes one needs more than one clean pair of pants per day. Excess moistness, or a slightly uncooperative Mooncup, or maybe just a sweaty fanjo.

But Cod you will be consigned to the deepest, sweatiest, smelliest halls of Hell for even mentioning [shudder] scented pantyliners!!!!!

my fanjo is clearly beter behaved than some....

Heathcliffscathy · 30/03/2008 23:05

cod i MUST MOST STRENUOUSLY DISAGREE. my clean fanny smells much nicer than ersatz 'spring freshness' bolleaux pantyliner.

I'm shocked at you all.

controlfreakyagain · 30/03/2008 23:06

oh darling, i wear lashings of scent.... covers the smell of my sweaty fanjo a treat... and no thrush side effects / toxic landfill etc.

Because, Because, I never have it at any other time. But if I use pantyliners I get all itchy within a day or two. Then I treat it, it goes away - and returns next time I use pantyliners.

It's not my diet - I've just started having periods again after 2y, and didn't have a single attack since my post-childbirth one (I always get a bout after giving birth) but have had a bout with every period.

Monkeybird · 30/03/2008 23:07

well cod perhaps your DH does like to nuzzle your panties after a hard day on your feet but mine prefers behind my ears on the whole.

Till after I've had a shower.

Bewilderbeast · 30/03/2008 23:08

the breathable ones usually don't have a platic backing, try carefree

Heathcliffscathy · 30/03/2008 23:08

PC: so stop wearing pantyliners!
