Im looking to sell a package of jane carrera buggy/matrix carrycot car seat/ aurorra bouncer cradle (all denim/camel tegano) and babybjorn bag (navy to match).

It seems a shame to keep all the other bits sitting somewere for the next yr or more, whilst only using buggy, so I need to replace the buggy bit.

The question is with what? seems silly to replace with a like for like, but Ive looked and my criteria seems to point to similar versions. Im hoping someone might throw some other ideas.

we have this criteria :

budget £120 (might be too little after u read criteria below lol).
colours silver and black , (despite having a girly girl).
Like bugaboo but our wallet doesnt like lol!!
like infinty espirit but it has to be taken apart for car
yes needs to be easily taken down for car and mummy with back problems.
lightweight
thinnish folding
seat must be able to nearly lie flat
hood
rain cover
continuous handle (find them good for one hand, despite the annoyance of having to use hooks). Or are umbrella folds better these days?
oh and may be a tray at handle bar for snacks on the move!!

not asking for much pmsl !!!

I find that a long strapped bag hangs quite easily over the Buzz handle, you just have to adjust it to the right length to hang properly.

Worth getting the basket as well, though you have to buy it separately as for some unfathomable reason it doesn't come as standard

melsy · 27/03/2007 23:36

ahh great firstatforty.

Is the "basket" the buzz box ???

Will I have to forever dress dd2 in cool clothes all the time to match her very stylish buggy lol. I talk as if Ive bought it already. Dh is gonna bulk (sp?) at the cost after the 1st system !!!

The buzz box is the little zip on- I think it zips anyway bag, like a change bag. The shopping basket has no funny name, but it is an extra and quite small.... My friend has one of these, she adores it!

dcb · 28/03/2007 09:28

we've got the M&P venezia - think that meets all your criteria. no need to change it round from pram to pushchair, you just alter the backrest from flat to sitting. can face forward or rear just by changing handlebar backwards and forwards. handle bar continuous so can push with 1 hand when wheels are unlocked. huge shopping basket and i hang changing bag over handle bar. dead easy to fold and about 9kg (depending on how much shopping there is in the basket - it folds up still!) good hood andrain cover and comes with detachable tray. and you can get it in black! they sell v cheaply on ebay - i don't know why as i love mine and use it all the time - we are looking for 3 wheeler though for beach/country as the wheels aren't up to that. hth

ok resurrecting this , as have my buggy travel system on sale now here and ebay. I felt all emotional seeing it online being sold , like an end to an era iykwim !!

anywhooooo , Im looking now at the Hauck infinity Esprit in black on kiddicare and also found one in pink on ebay , (can I link it here to show u guys , or is that not de riguer)!!??

Problems Ive just found last night in my research though (& I need a DOH icon now) ,is that the hauck is slightly deeper when folded than my Carrera C (I think its the bigger back weels), its also HEAVIER by about 4kg. So Im really not sure what to do now as it seemed to tick many many boxes in price , how it looks , moves and performs.

I need your help guys

tia

it's too big and heavy
you'll regret it
Have you tried a Techno?

melsy · 17/04/2007 09:18

Is it really , Im stuffed really as I should have found a definite before selling, as we wont have anything except dd1's buggy to use for dd2 , shes not gonna be happy (green eyed monster in the house)!!!

Ive got to find something online pronto and get it here asap, dd1 has the pox and I cant go anywere .

bu*er are !!!!

Thank u mrs badger will look at the techno, not heard of that one.

Thank you everypne else whos helping in my quest , thank u nbg for the ebay help yesterday. Sorry if this thread makes you have a moment.

OP posts:
melsy · 17/04/2007 09:23

ahhhh its a maclaren , does it recline right back to nearly flat do you know ? We have the maclaren quest for dd1 as shes 3.8 , but dd2 is only 8mths old , still needs cosy snuggly flat sleeps out during the day. So was after something a bit more in between that and my carrerra c iykwim !

OP posts:
MrsBadger · 17/04/2007 09:24

The Techno is the ubiquitous Maclaren umbrella-folder - I know it doesn't rear-face or have a bar handle but it's so nippy I thought it was worth a bash.

MrsBadger · 17/04/2007 09:25

oh yes, lies flat, suitable from birth, chunkier than the Quest

melsy · 17/04/2007 09:28

more questions

can I push it with one hand , as have to hold dd1's hand too ??

It says it reclines to 170 deg, cant picture that.

Found a nice grey and pink one on ebay £152 but iy now express delivery, is that a good price ???

OP posts:
MrsBadger · 17/04/2007 09:33

You should get a Techno chepaer than that if you shop around - they're only £159 full price at John Lewis and £145 at Kiddicare but in a less nice colour etc.

90º is bolt upright like a dining chair and 180º is totally flat, so 170º is as near flat as makes no odds.

Not 100% on one-handed pushing - can you get to Mothercare or somewhere and try dd2 one?

1dilemma · 17/04/2007 09:37

180 degrees would be flat, I guess prob atiny bit of head lift would be good for 8 month old.
DId you mean 152 for second hand maclaren? seems v.expensive to me Have you tried kiddicare?

1dilemma · 17/04/2007 09:38

sorry slow typer cross posted!
