Im looking to sell a package of jane carrera buggy/matrix carrycot car seat/ aurorra bouncer cradle (all denim/camel tegano) and babybjorn bag (navy to match).

It seems a shame to keep all the other bits sitting somewere for the next yr or more, whilst only using buggy, so I need to replace the buggy bit.

The question is with what? seems silly to replace with a like for like, but Ive looked and my criteria seems to point to similar versions. Im hoping someone might throw some other ideas.

we have this criteria :

budget £120 (might be too little after u read criteria below lol).
colours silver and black , (despite having a girly girl).
Like bugaboo but our wallet doesnt like lol!!
like infinty espirit but it has to be taken apart for car
yes needs to be easily taken down for car and mummy with back problems.
lightweight
thinnish folding
seat must be able to nearly lie flat
hood
rain cover
continuous handle (find them good for one hand, despite the annoyance of having to use hooks). Or are umbrella folds better these days?
oh and may be a tray at handle bar for snacks on the move!!

not asking for much pmsl !!!

MrsApron · 17/04/2007 11:21

if you get it i have a raincover ffp if you want.

My citysport is going to the tip it went all mouldy in the shed.

melsy · 17/04/2007 11:59

ahh fabby MrsApron thank you.

Looks like it might be the citisport, even though I LOVE LOVE LOVE the hauck, firstwheels & maui by mothercare, bugaboo styles but my back (as they are all around 12kg),and car doesnt !!!

Im kicking myself over a m&P venizia I could have bought on ebay couple of weeks ago for £16 , just wasnt ready then though, will need to check the wieght, seems to be a good comparison of things.

Im sooo indecisive at the moment !

OP posts:
melsy · 17/04/2007 14:00

misdee · 17/04/2007 14:03

check argos for aria offers

£69 i think with accesory pack.

misdee · 17/04/2007 14:04

mrs paron can i have your cityisport please? mold, nop problem!

CarGirl · 17/04/2007 14:05

just wanted to add the m&p aria is the worst pushchair I have ever tried to steer - the graco citisport was tons easier!!! DD4 was about 12 months old at the time and not big for her age!

melsy · 17/04/2007 14:07

Thank you for that cargirl lol, I feel Im going nutty today.

CarGirl · 17/04/2007 14:14

I think Inglesina as well as mothercare do something similar too. Personally I like buying 2nd hand as then you can try it out and if you don't like it can sell it on and you may not lose out at all financially.

CarGirl · 17/04/2007 14:16

Oh and you can put a buggyboard on the back of the citisport and it will still fold - it was fab for me just stuck it in the boot as it was. I too am a shorty with a bad back. I was always a bit "graco" hmmm cheap and not that great but I also had a mirage as that too is very light and you can put buggyboard on back and fold it flat - that may be a good option for you too as the seat is bigger than the citylight so would last really well. Also v cheap 2nd hand on ebay.

Nbg · 17/04/2007 14:19

Thats good about fitting a buggyboard on the citisport and it still folding.

melsy · 17/04/2007 14:25

yer mirage looks good too cargirl, although its 7kg same as my carerra C , although it doesnt have the newborn head thingy on that version and dd2 slouches to the side .

OP posts:
MrsApron · 17/04/2007 15:35

Are you serious Misdee fixer of pushchairs?

How would I pack it?

I can send you pics if you want. I was going to flog the matching footmuff and bag. It is a citysport plus with (if I can find them) cup holders and slightly more lightweight than the standard one. Kind of grey swirly pattern.

MrsApron · 17/04/2007 15:36

Oh and you would have to promise not to slag me for my manky buggy .

melsy · 17/04/2007 17:13

You need a wardrobe box mrs apron, some of the removal companies will sell them too u. I need some if I need to courier my travel set.

I need to find out if I can buy the newborn headrest from the citisport to go on the mirage , as that seems to have more of what I want. Its the extra bit of seat which is swinging it for me iykwim, but dd2 is teeny and slides to one side.

OP posts:
misdee · 17/04/2007 17:31

package it anyway you want. bubbl;e wrap boxes anything

do you want me to try and fix it for you?

djmisdee hotmail com

MrsApron · 17/04/2007 17:40

ah now melsy I have a black head hugger which goes on the straps. it used to be a rock a tot car seat, i could send it you want.

misdee will email you later after bath madness.

melsy · 17/04/2007 19:35

Bath time madness over, now dd1 wont go to bed (those rare naps are ruining my normal peaceful bedtime, but its chicken pox fuelled or rather drained).

ahh thats great Mrs Apron, raincover and headrest thingy, will need to give you somethng for those.

Gonna give it a run over with dh when he comes in later. Hes always got an opinion or two on these things lol.

CarGirl · 17/04/2007 21:24

Just another thought - do graco still do the Kite model, slighter smaller than the mirage, probably lighter and cheaper! Can't find it but the do have a "sport" in Argos which looks like the Kite did only 5kg
