Does anyone know if their partner masturbates or not? Do you mind if they do or don't?

It's never been a secret between me and my husband, but I have a close girl friend who was upset to find out it was something her husband still did and she really would prefer him not to. I did tell her that I expected her husband was not the only married guy that did!

It's totally normal. I wouldn't want to know details of him masturbating but I also wouldn't want to place impossible standards in a relationship.

He doesn't do it much that I know of as we have sex most days but now and again he does. I don't mind. Last time I accidentally walked in on him doing it I saw that he was looking at pictures of me, anyway. I do it more regularly, he knows I have vibrators and that I use them. He doesn't really mind.

Not particularly but getting slightly more open after 20+ yrs. I have the higher sex drive and sort myself out almost daily, twice a week sex has never fulfilled my need but I can't push for more. I didn't think my DW did masturbate given her lower drive but she recently mentioned she 'sorts her self out all the time' and I need to learn how to 'sort myself out', took me by surprise! @Thenewguy if a man doesn't ejaculate, the sperm is simply broken down and re absorbed by the body. There is nothing inherently harmful about not ejaculating for a long time. What you're saying here is just perpetuating the myth that men have a biological "need" to ejaculate. It's simply not true.

We have no issue with one of us masturbating been together a long time and I’ve never really even asked. We do and always have had regular sex. Maybe if that were not the case then one or both of us maybe not as comfortable as we are with it. I would hope we would talk about it because as much as we are one, we are autonomous over our own bodies.

The freedom to masturbate privately while not imposing on anyone else’s dignity should be a basic human right (from what I have briefly looked at looks like it isn’t yet) Would welcome any links to from anyone better informed.
