How many times a week do you have sex?

I know this will have been asked a million times on MN....but I can't seem to find any of the threads. How many times a week (on average) do you have sex? Once a week, I’d like it 2-3 times a week but my DH has a lower sex drive than me.

I’m 40, he’s 48.

Average of once or twice per week. Occasionally more or less. As above, I would probably have more if I could but DH has a lower sex drive and the thought of him having an extra session just for me, isn’t much fun.

I'm 43 and DH is 46

We probably dtd about twice a week, I would like it to be more frequent but this suits DH and he feels we probably have sex more than others our age.

I suggested this thread to get a snapshot of what others are up to!

As pp stared I wouldn't want DH to add an extra session in there just for me as that doesn't sound like fun.

Once a month on average..possibly longer gaps other months.. both work full time and have teenagers at home which is rather off putting.. we are 39 and 43..

We’re retired, but childmind two days a week, and at an age where swinging from chandeliers and me managing two or three times a session are in the past. However we have full blown sex 2/3 times a week, mostly mornings after tea and showers. Most other mornings if I get horny DW will treat me to a hand or blow job or tease me visually and watch me wank. Probably average once a week when she wakes during the night and can’t get back to sleep (she’s a worrier) I’ll finger her to orgasm and cuddle her back to sleep, or next morning I’ll give her a massage with oil and a happy ending.

We have sex about 4-5 times a week we both have high sex drives, we have a lot of early morning sex session's! DH is 48 I'm 39 both work full-time and have two kids one a teenager.

There are so many articles about the benefits of an orgasm. I mean the real scientific benefits that have been proven rather than the empirical evidence, which in itself is overwhelming.

We both enjoy sex but got to the take it or leave it stage (both of us) and this meant around twice a week because we felt is was important. We then chatted about it and agreed that more orgasms would be better in terms of benefits. This might sound a bit mechanical but it isn't. We both cycle early most mornings and sometimes we don't want to go but understand the benefits of exercise and fresh air. We applied this to our sex life.

We call it the 'Power of 3' and it means that the longest we go without an orgasm is 3 days. The last span was 2 days the next might be 1 but it will always be at least the 3rd day. Although we cannot say for certain what the benefits have been it is undoubted that we are both more relaxed and calm even in stressful situations. Now I agree this might be psychological but even if it is then it shows the Power of 3 is working for us.

Long answer to a short question sorry. Mid to late 50's and together from our teenage years.

Maybe 2/3 times per week..we dont live together so this is usually packed into 24 or 48 hours due to distance and child care rotas. Makes it bloody hot though as we are both desperate by that point. Both 44.

There were about 200. Including the people who replied but didn't have sex the average was 78 times a year or about three times a fortnight. Taking out the sexless people that moved to twice a week. So, if you're having sex on a regular basis MNers are reporting about twice a week.

I did the same on the blowjobs thread and that was slightly lower. For those who got blowjobs this was just under twice a week. For everyone, including those who didn't get oral sex, this was around once a week.

So, the average MNer (whether they are having sex or not) has sex three times a fortnight and blowjob once a week.

I know the overall message is that there is no normal and it's what works for each couple.

I’d love this to be true for the average MNer. Sadly I think that those who respond to these threads are MUCH more likely to be those on the very much more active side of BJ giving and sex having 😂. A very self-selected data pool I’d you will 😊😊 Those of us getting absolutely zero action which will skew your data downwards (along with the high days & holidays brigade) are very unlikely to post. There’s a lot of shame in not having sex despite being in a LTR.

I see him every other weekend and we have sex 3 or 4 times a day.
Averages out to 3 or 4 times a week!

We are 34 and 36, there is no general pattern to our sex life, sometimes we’ll have sex twice a week, sometimes once a week and other times once a fortnight. More recently, we are more once a fortnight.

30 times a week! Wow haha I'd prefer daily and would be happy with morning and night haha I'm 36 and partner is soon to be 45. I think my sex drive is higher then his, he would prefer 1-2 times a week
