I had a stressful day chasing the reference! Was lead to believe it had been completed but unfortunately our referee had not submitted it correctly.
It's finally been submitted and the admissions team have said the next batch of offers will be sent tomorrow at 5pm!
Good luck to all!

My DD's got an offer - DA post 16! We are so happy and proud!

InTheGrandSchemeOfThings · 27/03/2026 17:02

Yes well done to your DCs who got places. It’s an amazing achievement.

Dd is going to try again for post16 but it’s so hard for them at this age. She really saw herself there and I think it would have been the making of her. Never mind, maybe things happen for a reason.

good luck to everyone else

GiddyGreyFatball · 27/03/2026 17:07

Was it just dance that got email 20-23rd April does anyone know ?

DreamBigSol · 27/03/2026 18:19

Well done to all for getting this far! Its such a competitive school to get into and highly over subscribed. However, it is hard for the DC xxx
We can't quite believe it, out if area and just got a music ks4 place for my DD. In shock is a complete understatement x

Well done to those who got in. My DD got on the reserve list for KS4 MT. Does anyone know what the likelihood of getting in may be?

BeKindRose · 27/03/2026 19:50

My DS has been offered a place for post 16 DA(formally IDD) he’s currently in Year 11 at the Brits and is ecstatic that he gets to stay on for another 2 years!

That’s truly amazing. Only 10% taken from out of area so the odds are even smaller.

Can I ask what your dd played/chose for the audition? And how she felt the interview went?

my dd didn’t get in - she’s talented but more of an all rounder. She plays a few instruments and chose to do recorded produced piece of her playing instruments to a remixed track. Bit of a risk but it is was objectively good. Just wondering if she might have made the wrong decision and should have played live for her second piece. She played the piano for the first

It sounds to me that she did amazingly! Very similar to my DD, did she sing too?
She sung and played piano to a backing track, then played guitar to a song written by herself. Its so hard to know what they are looking for and there's so many talented children with very few places.
Don't give up xxx

Thanks. She’s very disappointed but I hope this will won’t put her off - she wants to reapply for post 16 and possibly for music tech.

She’s not a singer unfortunately and I don’t think the singing aural test went very well, so maybe that tipped the balance. We’ll ask for feedback so hopefully that will give her a bit more insight.

It’s so hard though, seeing them this disappointed. She wanted it so badly and tried so hard, and it’s a difficult thing to experience at 14. I keep telling her though that it was a great achievement even to get to the audition stage, considering how many applications they receive for each place.

Good luck to your dd, I hope she really enjoys this moment and her time there.

I really feel for you both, its so hard when you put so much into something but you are right, you can try at p16 with the knowledge and experience!
Thank you for your kind words x

No still nothing. Hopefully tomorrow! My daughter can’t wait to tell her form tutor and her art teacher and break the news to her friends.

Hi there, did you manage to get the enrolment form? We got an offer email yesterday evening but I guess they dont update the website straight away? It still says 'status pending'.

Freddie0107 · 28/03/2026 16:54

Has anyone been offered dance places yet

Freddie0107 · 28/03/2026 16:54

QuedateLuna · 28/03/2026 18:09

Those of you who submitted the Enrolment and Student Acceptance Forms, what do you see in the Parent’s account? I still see offer status pending although they told me that all is fine and they received all the correct information. Thanks

beasmithwentworth · 28/03/2026 22:43

Congratulations to all who got in! DS was in the last interview of the day for FMP on the last day of interviews on 19th. He said the interviewers sounded disinterested 😩.

His friend heard that he got in on Friday. We have heard nothing either way. Chat GPT suggests (who knows if this is accurate) that the definite yeses hear In the first batch and sometimes the nos hear at the same time.. but there is a big tranch of ‘maybes) in the middle who hear back later. Anyone else got any idea?

Enrolled!
now what happens with her school, like do I notify them or does Brit?

Congratulations 🎊
Could you possibly tell me if we need to have decided on our extra option when enrolling or can we add that later?

I think they were very tired. Wnen my DD came to her interview the first thing they said to her was thank you so much for coming earlier! (we came 20 minutes earlier) :))) There were some kids who were late to their interviews as well

I've just checked the email and there is a link to acceptance form and a link to admission pack in there. Have not filled them yet though:)

beasmithwentworth · 30/03/2026 10:11

They are definitely sending FMP emails out this morning. DS got in which he doesn’t know about yet as he’s still asleep! He actually prefers the course at London Screen Academy and has an offer but I think he’ll accept BRIT. His GF has an offer at BRIT for her course but hoping that won’t impact. Good luck to any still waiting.

Applicaa status is still pending, is it the same with everyone?

Yes, this is normal. When my DS applied in Year 10 his account didn’t update until a few days before he started! Just make you complete the acceptance form and provide all the required information within the 14 days timeframe.
