I still don’t see the enrolment section in the application. Do you? Thanks

Same here. I might phone up the school tomorrow and ask.

No still nothing. Hopefully tomorrow! My daughter can’t wait to tell her form tutor and her art teacher and break the news to her friends.

Congratulations to everyone who’s been offered a place or has been considered at the BRIT School – such an amazing achievement!

I just wanted to ask a quick question about the (VAD) pathway for Year 10. What kinds of things did you include in your portfolio it’s all new to me!

Also, is there anything that can be prepared in Year 8 to help get ready for applying in Year 9?

We’d be really grateful for any advice – thank you so much!

My DD included lots of different mediums, pencil, acrylic, water colour, digital art, photography and textiles. She did have a nice collage that she’d done but it photographed badly so I’d definitely suggest to anyone creating a portfolio to check how the work photographs as that’s incredibly important.

Yes definitely go to the open evening in October. My daughter had been working on her portfolio for over a year. It’s 20 pieces- so you can definitely start working on it now!! It needs to be submitted in Jan.

Congrats to all those that have been offered a space - you all must be so so excited! Does anybody know anything more about why there is such a delay to hearing back on KS4 dance as per the email saying decisions will be 20-23rd April? My daughter had her workshop and interview nearly a month ago now.

I second this. My DC also included several different mediums and techniques. They are also interested in seeing the progress like preparatory sketches and works in progress.

Hiya, my daughter is year 11 VAD atm. Like others have said - loads you can start preparing now. My daughter included quite a mix in her portfolio - sketchbook work, painting, illustration work, photography and then she also loves textiles so she included photos of some crochet things she had made and clothes she’d made.

I’m going to let my child’s school office know before they break up for summer but the teachers will all know by today anyway! I have a friend whose child is at Brit in Yr 11 and she said she didn’t tell the previous school until early September when they had already started (think Brit started end of August that year) but I’m sure Brit would have been in contact.

No I didn’t get one?

ChristinaRidla23 · 23/03/2026 12:26

Does anyone know whether KS4 MT will get an email saying whether they got in or not today?

MrsSaz9 · 23/03/2026 12:56

I just called the school and they said that they’ll only share the outcome of the application on a Friday. She said it was to ensure that the child receives support over the weekend if they didn’t get the result they were hoping for. At least I don’t have to keep checking my emails 20 times a day 🤣

fenellafoofoo · 23/03/2026 13:05

That’s strange…. My daughter definitely got her email on a Monday last year. Maybe they’ve changed it?

MrsSaz9 · 23/03/2026 13:16

I thought it odd too as I’ve seen others find out on different days too. I did tell lady at student services that it was for KS4 Theatre strand. Maybe it’s just for that? 🤷🏽‍♀️ either that or they’ve changed it

fenellafoofoo · 23/03/2026 13:18

So strange! The Dance students will find out between 20 and 23 which is Monday to Thursday😂

im fucking fuming.

MrsSaz9 · 23/03/2026 13:34

Maybe she told me that to stop me making any further calls in 🤣
It would be interesting if someone else calls and they say something different.

ChristinaRidla23 · 23/03/2026 16:11

i cant wait to hear today at 5pm

wondering the same? last year I know for a fact they told different strands during the week, not on a Friday only, ie music came first and then MT followed. I believe this was a Tuesday or a Wednesday (we know someone who got in and got notified during the day on a Tuesday/Wednesday) but certainly they didn't take as long as this year.

Brit378 · 23/03/2026 19:16

Child is fully enrolled! She is very happy!

DreamBigSol · 23/03/2026 19:22

Congratulations to all that have received offers! What a relief!
We are waiting (as patiently as possible)!
I'm wondering if anyone else is Out Of Area too?

We didn’t get an email either, just a message at the top of the screen said “Thank you for completing the application, we will be in contact shortly.”
