Is anyone attending latymer upper today? Do you know how many places they typically offer?

How did folks' DCs find Alleyn's this morning? Sounded quite tough and time pressured

That’s right. Sorry I mixed up the days!!

My DS said that Alleyn's assessment was the toughest of the exams that he has sat (including the Sutton grammar tests).
At least the exams are over and we can wait on interviews...

Almost wish I had no seen the Emanuel Tuesday email here. Gahhh. Nervous now! Think it is a stretch for dd so not keeping hopes up!

Agree on asking DC in the interview about other schools is quite tough and slightly unfair given the schools really call the shots at this point (less so post offer date!)

Did anyone think there were a lot of children at the Wimbledon High creative assessment yesterday? I’m interested in how many were invited to the second round. I’m wondering if it’s more than usual as they are potentially putting on an extra class?

My DD was also time pressured at Alleyn’s today.

DS did Alleyn's today too. I've not managed to get much info out of him yet other than he didn't finish the maths. We went in with very low expectations of him getting through, which made it all a bit more relaxed for us.

also waiting for Emanuel 🙂now that you said might be today i will check every 30 min🤣i do not know what to expect really and was also a bit of a stretch for my DC so let’s see.

No sure re: yesterday. DD is there (Y7) but students were sent home with work so the school could be available for the process. Last year I think they invited quite a lot to the second stage - I would venture at least half of the applicants if not more. If they put an extra form, that probably means over 80 places this year.
In addition to yesterday, there were some DC taking the exam today (due to clashes).

I’m telling myself that Emanuel won’t email before tomorrow evening to save the compulsive email checking 😅

Not sure but DD was helping out yesterday as she's in y12. She really enjoyed it.
I think she was a big year group- there were 100 when she was in y7.

@itsanewera Thanks for the info. My DD really liked the Yr 12 helpers for her group - they let them have two cookies 😂

Thanks - wow that is quite a lot invited so still low odds. It’ll be a long wait until February to find out!

DD had a clash yesterday with the JAGS ISEB but I thought it best to do the WHS assessment on the proper day and rearrange the ISEB.

Probably over 80 external places if a big year (some 60 last year for a year of some 100) and remember they will have to over offer

@Hatty999 I think they said there are 128 places. Not sure how that translates re offers. 450 attended today.

That sounds like good odds as most schools offer x3 as many places as they have?

@farfallarocks me too! And then coming on here to see if anyone else had one yet. It would be a weird time to send out the emails. I think tomorrow is more likely - tho was Tues night last year. Going to stop checking after 8pm!
