Anybody else anxiously awaiting offers day for England secondaries on Monday? Obviously nothing I can do about our choices at this point, and yes it will probably all turn out fine, but I'm suddenly doubting everything and driving myself mad worrying about it!

I really wish I was scheduled to work today, being at home I don’t have much else to focus on! Although I don’t know how productive I’d be right now

mummy2010 · 02/03/2020 14:45

Definitely the longest day ever for the Londoners. I just can not wait any longer. The hours are just going sooo slow. Roll on 5:00pm..... I need to know.

Thenagainmaybenot · 02/03/2020 14:49

Hertforshire are out on the website but I don't have an email yet. Website is very slow though!

SistemaAddict · 02/03/2020 14:51

I got the email on Saturday evening about 8pm. First choice so dd and I are happy.

ShoesJerry · 02/03/2020 15:16

Those of you who are asking if you need to accept the place, you definitely do and our council portal was a bit weird. I was looking for an "accept" button or something obvious, but there wasn't anything like that. Instead there was a green tab called something like "view admissions" which then listed all schools we'd applied to and had a drop down menu for the school with the offered place. We had to choose "parent accept" or "parent reject". It wasn't intuitive at all, but I then got a final email confirmation to say that I'd accepted the offered place. So don't assume and do nothing, as ours was a really odd layout!

Zodlebud · 02/03/2020 15:36

You can login online to Hertfordshire now but no emails. We got our third choice Bucks Grammar so very lucky to get an out of catchment place.

KittenVsBox · 02/03/2020 16:00

Re accepting offers - you need to read what your LEA tells you to do.
Ours is very clear that if you are happy to accept, you dont need to do anything. Others need to accept, and it might not be obvious, as ShoesJerry mentions above.

confusedofengland · 02/03/2020 16:06

This is what mine says. I don't need to do anything unless I get a letter from the school, do I?

Try again.

No confused just respond to school if they send a letter.

aloneinthenight · 02/03/2020 16:34

shoes I think we're in the same area. So confusing and I can see loads of people not finding the accept button.

Three years ago, when DS1 applied, you didn't have to do anything at all.

It feels like it designed to catch you out.

DS2 will be going to the grammar school with DS1, which we pretty much knew but nice to have it confirmed.

morriseysquif · 02/03/2020 16:38

Do London outcomes appear on the website or do we wait for the email?

WhenDoISleep · 02/03/2020 16:41

London and Surrey outcomes will be on the eAdmissions website at 5pm and emails get sent out over the course of the evening.

BluebirdHill · 02/03/2020 16:47

Good luck all you London folk hovering over your devices for 5pm!
Said on a different thread but we got our second choice, which DS had recently decided he now preferred anyway, so good outcome here.

PhoenixMama · 02/03/2020 16:48

I'm going crazy waiting!

PhonicTheHedgehog · 02/03/2020 16:49

11 minutes. Squeak.

Longwhiskers14 · 02/03/2020 16:50

10 minutes and counting!

Crabonastick · 02/03/2020 16:59

Will it be visible on the page once logged in? I’m worried I won’t know where to look! 2 minutes to go and constant refreshing

Crabonastick · 02/03/2020 17:01

Woohoo- first choice offered!

MinnieSquidge · 02/03/2020 17:06

London offers are now live on Eadmissions. Very happy that my DS got his first preference

Longwhiskers14 · 02/03/2020 17:07

DC got their first preference! It was a given, but good to know I didn't mess the form up!

PhonicTheHedgehog · 02/03/2020 17:09

Second choice.
More disappointed than I thought I would be.
Great school though so all is good.

Oblomov20 · 02/03/2020 17:09

Phew! Logged in. Got our first choice.

Not surprising really because it's catholic, very close by, in nearest feeder school, priest signed form, and sibling. But nice to have it guaranteed.

But 2nd choice was also excellent.

Glad that's over.

Wishing all the best to those less fortunate.

BertBox · 02/03/2020 17:10

First choice here! I’m so relieved!

Onvacation · 02/03/2020 17:10

First choice. Was very likely, but so very pleased!
