Fos hope the dress is a winner!
Dd has been excluded from the “it girl” group big party tonight which she is a smidge upset over,but she’s never( thankfully) been part of it but because there is no prom everyone is talking about this party so she feels left out!

Will post a photo later! Nails done this morning... DD was going to have her make up done but decided to do it herself, however when we were forward planning we booked hair appointment nearby to where make up was being done. Now we're trekking to the hair appointment rather than having one on the doorstep... Never mind it alll eats up the time I suppose. I've been summonsed to DD's bedroom to accompany her whilst she does her make up - shes now stressing about her make up being on her face too long

Is it too early for ?

We're holed up in DD's bed listening to the Spotify playlist that they (school and pupils) compiled for tonight - there are some eyebrows being raised

arewedone oh thats not nice for DD - are there any other parties happening that she's going to? She could watch Mean Girls to reassure herself that the IT girls don't stay queen bees...

Dd will be ok, it’s just unfortunate she is part of the committee welcoming new girls at school this afternoon and a whole bunch of the current girls will be going on to the party afterwards.

Arewedone - thatbis so mean of them, I was always the left out girl on the edge so I know how it feels (bothered not bothered) - definitely have a mean girls night! (Although I’d also be tempted with The Craft - ‘we are the weirdo’s mister!’

Yeah I guess social media makes things 1000x worse. Party is for 100 so she is a bit sad. Apparently she was described as too quiet!

Hands up who has 3:15 for meltdown?

Arrived in city for hair appointment (early because anxiety levels rising) got to hairdressers to find it had gone. Notice of "no re-entry" in window but nothing else
Walked/Ran round corner to posh department store, went to salon. Dd crying. They were super lovely and trying to get us in. Whilst there I checked original hairdressers website to find a "we have moved" message. Luckily a brisk short walk away.

We are here, she's pleased she didn't do her make up before hair 😂 I am slowly regaining my resting heartbeat.

DS was supposed to go to rock concert in London, but due to bloody South Western train strike (again!) They would not be able to get home/get stranded at Waterloo for the night, so they ended up not going

He was going to go with his band mates and had been looking forward to it for months

Oh no myrtle just what you didn’t need . How was the hair ? Hopefully not pouring down where you are??

Sorry to read that arewedone, we have previously been there. Social media just doesn't help with the 'fear of missing out' feeling. Mean girls is a good idea and Pretty in Pink.

All worked out well in the end, glorious evening here!
