Kingston Grammar 10+ exam 2018

Hi Does anyone know how many sat the 10+ exam this year for Kingston Grammar and when you can expect to be called back for an interview? Thank you

10+ interviews are meant to be 25th and we received an email last week saying we would hear by 19th. Sigh.

So starts another day of chilling...

Actual interview times for 10-plus may not come till end of the week if our experience any guide. And they do appear to be running through 11-plus first.

Oh, I see what you mean. Sorry, I completely misread your post.
Hmmm, I would have previously assumed that the phone calls would proceed the letters, but if 11+ calls were still happening yesterday, maybe not. Goodness, so stressful. In that case I certainly don’t want to see postie tomorrow! Fingers even more tightly crossed for all of us. 🤞

My dd did the 10+ a few years ago, the letters came out after the 11+ ones. Also just to let you know I thought it was a no as it was just a letter and the 11+ people were getting a larger envelope but it was a yes so don't be alarmed by the size of the letter!

So sorry guys. We still haven’t heard anything, but there has been a tendency for our post to be given to the wrong house with alarming regularity, so still expecting the worst.
Apparently the dc’s of the staff at kgs are frequently given a no at 10+ then get in at 11+. So it is obviously pretty brutal and fair. We will try again next year with feedback if we get a no.

We havent got the expected post yesterday neither, it might be today, I will find out once I got home. It was still a great exam experience for her knowing she needs to pick up VR (and fast) and work on exam technique(never done an academic exam and never had a multiple choice test(left unanswered questions blank). We havent started on NVR and couple of schools we targetted will have NVR tests. For us right now, we are seeing my husband specialist tomorrow to decide on his urgent treatment which takes our mind off 11+ and anything else.

Just received an interview email now. This was very unexpected, she must have made it up with her English and maths which were her strength(missed few last VR questions completely when got stuck and time ran out and just sat there trying to sort the stucked question rather than moved on). I am sorry for all “No” however hope to see you all again next year when the main battle starts.

We have got one too! Stunned! Wonder if it is general or (presumably in his case) English. 🤔 still in shock. I’m so pleased for you Greenleave. Hopefully it will give your dad something positive to focus on whilst you DH is in hospital. X
