Hopefully everyone is finishing off AS exams.

Too right - would love to see their faces!

But I'm sure they'd be as pleased as punch for him tooSmile

Auntpetunia2015 · 11/06/2016 12:41

They will the new head ...she started when he was year 6 so not really new anymore ! Got him straight away and made him Oberon in mid sum nights dream the end of year show that year despite others saying it was a mistake. Let's see what Tuesday brings with the kids voting. I've told him he can't bribe or threaten anyone Wink

lasermum · 13/06/2016 13:56

DS1 still has 3 more AS exams this week while most of his friends finished their exams before half term.

Exam season seems to have carried on a long time in our house ..,.,

LittleHoHum · 13/06/2016 14:22

Same Sad

ono40 · 13/06/2016 15:35

So much for DS getting back to school and out from under my feet. As a result of a triple shooting right outside the school last night, it's been closed all day as has the school opposite. Not too sure what happened to those who had exams. So much for this being a 'naice' area!

Horsemad · 13/06/2016 18:41

Wow Ono Shock that's scary stuff.

bigTillyMint · 13/06/2016 19:00

lasermum and littlehum, that's toughSad

Oh gosh, onoShock

DD was back to school today - moaning about it last night, came in from work on a high about what degree she might do! Apparently they are doing a project in Economics for 3 weeks and she harangued the poor local historian they went to meetGrin

Auntpetunia2015 · 13/06/2016 23:19

Oh ono that's scary stuff.

DS went to Liverpool uni today to a supposed day of seminars but left after 20 mins as it was so badly organised and the lecturers he'd planned to see for drama and media hadn't turned up!! So he spent the day googling courses and uni s now we've got to narrow it down now to sensible ones to visit. At last

lasermum · 14/06/2016 13:30

DS was due to start his A2 courses this week but he preferred to revise for his 3 remaining exams and catch up with anything missed next week. Thankfully the six form have agreed and will mark him as on study leave and not unauthorised absence.

Meanwhile I am having to finalise arrangements for his work experience (obviously shouldn't be me doing this but in reality he certainly won't want to think about work experience for the next few days).

bigTillyMint · 14/06/2016 14:10

lasermum, it may turn out to be a non-issue - DD's teachers have decided not to start the A2's till September as some still doing exams and "they will forget and they will have to go over it" so they are doing projects/coursework that will give them something to talk about on their Personal Statements. Or so DD said!

AuntP how annoying, but good that he has spent his time usefully. DD seems to be doing similarlyShock

nuttymango · 14/06/2016 18:44

ONO that's scary :(

We just had an email saying that UCAS apply is now open for 2017 applications, DS has registered but he needs a 'buzzword' from his college.

Horsemad · 14/06/2016 18:49

Snap laser mum, my DS is doing the same. I reckon they'll go over the A2 stuff that they do now when they go back in Sept.

Nutty, eeeek, UCAS open! Shock It is gonna fly by...

LittleHoHum · 14/06/2016 19:12

Off to a flying start here as I forgot about the parents evening about Ucas. Never mind it can't have changed much since last year. Grin

dd is so bored with study leave that she is devoting attention to solving the Rubiks Cube in as fast a time as possible. Revision is not too appealing anymore.

lasermum · 14/06/2016 19:49

Computer science done, just maths S1 and D1 to go! I think I am more excited about the end of exams than ds.

JugglingFromHereToThere · 14/06/2016 20:04

Last one tomorrow!
And started A2 courses yesterday.

No let up! But hopefully time for some end of exams celebrations at the weekend - when we also visit Royal Holloway with DGM/ DM

Horsemad · 14/06/2016 20:17

Anyone visiting Leeds this Saturday?

HSMMaCM · 14/06/2016 21:00

DD still doesn't know what she wants to do and doesn't want to go to any open days, because she doesn't know what to do!

OP posts:
bigTillyMint · 14/06/2016 21:16

Yep, DD and her mates are, Horse!

Horsemad · 14/06/2016 21:25

I'll look out for them bTM! Grin

HSMMaCM, my DS is the same. No idea what talks he'll go to...

Trufflethewuffle · 15/06/2016 08:25

Last one today! DS1 and 2 doing S1 this morning.
DS3 has penultimate GCSE this afternoon, then just physics on Friday.
DD has year 9 exams this week.
Roll on the weekend!

LineyReborn · 15/06/2016 08:36

Last one here,too. Statistics.

bigTillyMint · 15/06/2016 09:15

Good luck to the stats-takers!

LineyReborn · 15/06/2016 11:08

Statistics pronounced hard. This year is all turning into a bit of a disaster. Sad

teta · 15/06/2016 11:14

Was it Edexcel Liney?
I haven't heard yet.!?!
Though . read the Student Room posts

dingit · 15/06/2016 13:32

Oh crap. Dd thinks she may have to resit maths. Let's hope her mood is ok, as at least it's her last exam. It's been a long hard slog.
