DS's alarm just gone off so he can get to College for another all day revision session. Roll on Monday.

hellsbells99 · 20/06/2015 08:36

Good luck for Monday Bigblue - the end is in sight!

Decorhate · 20/06/2015 09:44

Interesting morning here so far - dh got up at dawn to go for a long cycle ride as dd & her friends rolled in from their big night out celebrating end of exams! Then I was out early to deliver youngest to his secondary school induction day

Lolimax · 20/06/2015 09:50

Morning another new recruit to this thread! DD finished exams yesterday and the last few weeks have seen every emotion going! She's held it together really well given my mum died in January then I've been very ill with a neuro condition (on the mend now!) so it's a big relief the exams are over. If I could drink I would celebrate with a gallon of wine but tea will have to do! Hello to everyone else with 18 year old lovelies x

Horsemad · 20/06/2015 10:31

Is mine the only one going on until Wednesday? Shock

I am getting fed up with exams now. As soon as he finishes A levels, he's doing a diving course - that's another exam to do!!

GypsyFloss · 20/06/2015 10:32

Lots of socialising going on here now. Dd isn't quite 18 yet so I'm being spared the late night collection from clubs and pubs, for the next 3 weeks anyway!

Molio · 20/06/2015 10:33

Thank you Littleham :) Geography ok apparently then DS disappeared to camp somewhere for the w/e. Much more peaceful than a 2.30am or dawn return!

MiffyMyKitty · 20/06/2015 10:59

Welcome lolimax it's nice to share our angst, trials and tribulations the highs and the lows on here, I don't feel so alone as most of my friends have kids that are much younger than mine so nit really going through the same experience. I had dd young.
Exams here till next Wednesday too FM modules left, one on Monday too. Then yipee finished! Smile DD is fed up at the moment since she passed her driving test a few months ago and has a car, (she doesn't drink cos of meds) all of a sudden a bunch of clicky girls who always excluded her, now want to be her friend so dd can take them home, after their nights out. Be some taxi service. Obviously I'm not too happy about this since these girls were not exactly nice to her in year 13. I don't mind her she takes her closest friends home drop them off since she is out with them too for restaruant meals etc. It's a rant letting off steam day today Blush

Lolimax · 20/06/2015 11:32

Hi miffy :) DD is also a driver but I hate the ones who take advantage. She's off to the big city tonight with a group from college so is presently doing her nails drinking tea. I'm trying not to think about life after September. That'll be another support thread!

Littleham · 20/06/2015 12:19

My lovely parents have moved into my house for the weekend and I have escaped for the weekend with Dh. I was lucky enough to win a weekend away . Smile what timing!

Good luck for last few exams next week. Nearly there.....

Welcome Lolimax. Your Dd has done so well to get through the exams. Have a good rest now.

Empty nest thread I think for me in Sept or Pre-mid life crisis one too, if there is one???. DH is already planning to turn dd bedroom when she leaves, will become his man cave!! Complete with projector, home cinema 5:1 sound systemHmm poor dd will be demoted to box room when she comes home.

Lolimax · 20/06/2015 14:23

Oh miffy poor you (and poor DD!) I won't have an empty nest as I have a 17 yr old DS who is still at home and will be starting a 2 yr college college course and a 12 yr old DSS who we have oewe and during the week but my DD and I are very close and she's very protective of me especially after this year.

Lolimax · 20/06/2015 14:24

Oh and little enjoy the weekend away :)

Waitingaround · 20/06/2015 17:40

Heard from DD this morning, she was supposed to be flying home today, but when she checked the dates on the tickets the flight is not until tomorrow ARGH!!. Fortunately she is staying with my DM so she did not have to find a hotel for the night and she did check before they left for the airport. Her excuse is she did not book the tickets, boyfriends mum did.

Mumslife her tutor sent something off to the wjec and the 2 unis concerned to let them know- I think it was a special consideration form or something. I'd never heard of it but it was another post on here that gave me the idea x
